🚢 This is an important week for the climate as the International Maritime Organization member states gather for the 83rd Marine Environment Protection Committee meeting, #MEPC83, 7–11 April, to negotiate the next steps in reducing CO₂ emissions from international shipping. The first action point is finalising the measures outlined in the 2023 IMO GHG strategy, which include a goal-based marine fuel standard to reduce the #GHG intensity of marine fuels gradually and a pricing mechanism for maritime emissions. 🌱 At Liquid Wind, we are fully committed to meeting the growing demand for sustainable fuels. We are honored to announce the participation of Claes Fredriksson, Liquid Wind’s CEO & founder, at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology Symposium on Heat and Power Technologies for Industrial Decarbonisation, in Stockholm, 2 April 2025. The event will bring together 200 stakeholders from the entire value chain — including industrial end-users, energy project developers, utilities, technology providers, financial institutions, R&D initiatives, and academia.
