Due to the closure, a total of 121 flights were diverted away from Heathrow today to 50 different airports in 21 countries. No aircraft landed at LHR for nearly 20 hours. Heathrow is slowly moving again with positioning flights landing and the first departures expected later this evening. Heathrow says it expects to run a nearly full schedule on Saturday, 22 March.
