Our leadership team has been in Australia this week visiting employees in our Sydney office, as well as our valued retail partners Harvey Norman, The Good Guys and e&s, to discuss continued opportunities as their partner of choice. In 2024, 88% of our manufacturing sites sent less than 1% of their total waste to landfill, which refers to waste discarded in facilities, while less than 3% of waste was burned to be used for power.    That means more of our materials are being reused, recovered and recycled — cutting our environmental impact.     These results are part of our Zero Waste to Landfill program, which is third-party certified through rigorous audits. 🦁 We bought a zoo! It sounds like an April Fool’s joke, but it’s true. In 1991, Electrolux Group acquired Hungarian appliance manufacturer Lehel — and with it, a fully operational zoo. While we didn’t stay in the zoo business for long, this quirky piece of company history lives on in Jászberény, Hungary.    🐾 From big cats to refrigerators, Lehel had it all. One of our first tasks? We are launching a bold, industry-leading recycled materials target, which aims to increase the share of recycled steel and plastic by weight used for the products manufactured by Electrolux Group to 35% by 2030. Vinerea trecută a fost o zi perfectă pentru o nouă acțiune de plantare puieți a echipei Electrolux Romania, cu suportul Asociației Plantăm fapte bune în România. Alături de alți voluntari, echipa Electrolux Romania din București a contribuit la împădurirea unei suprafețe de 3 ha în județul Buzău, respectic cu plantarea a 15.000 de puieți de salcâm. Suntem bucuroși că ne-am adus mica contribuție la un viitor mai sustenabil, mai verde! Pentru că știm că fiecare gest contează. 🌱 Noi creștem pădurea Electrolux Romania!
