On this International Women's Day, we celebrate the role of women in shaping the future of automotive safety. At Autoliv, we are committed to ensuring our safety systems protect everyone. Women have different body structures, centres of gravity, and injury risks in crashes. That's why we've been researching female biomechanics for many years. Why does it matter? Women are more likely to suffer from certain injuries in crashes, which requires new innovative ways of protection. "We as a company are committed to deal fairly with all concerned, that is, a diverse population regarding sex, age, weight, and stature, to design safety systems that protect everyone," says Emma Hellstrom of Prototype & Testing at Autoliv. By embracing innovation and inclusive testing, we're not only shaping a safer future – we're ensuring that every woman, every person, is protected on the road.
