We just wrapped up two incredible weeks in New Zealand and Australia, exploring how our novel methane-inhibitor can support Kiwi and Australian farmers in cutting emissions in pasture-based systems, without compromising profitability! With all the knowledge from the trip, we’re now ready to amp up even more! Huge thanks to AgriZeroNZ, and especially to Rachelle Linwood, Aashay Shah, and David Macdonald for being such amazing hosts and guides!
We had the pleasure of hosting one of our portfolio companies, Agteria Biotech, on a trip around New Zealand to help them get a lay of the land as they work to develop an emissions reduction tool suitable for Kiwi farmers 🌏 Rachelle Linwood took on the role of tour guide for the week and introduced Martin Blomberg and Maia Lidbeck to a range of industry players including regulators, feed manufacturers, processors and farmers to help them understand the path to market for their methane-reducing product, likely to initially be a feed supplement. We’re pleased to be backing the Swedish company to progress its research into a practical, effective solution to help New Zealand farmers cut emissions without compromising profitability and productivity. Thanks Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI), Environmental Protection Authority NZ, DairyNZ, Fonterra, Silver Fern Farms Ltd, Ruminate, Farmlands Co-operative Society Limited and Waikato dairy farmer Scott Bryant for meeting with us and sharing your valuable insights.
