We are proud of our colleagues and partners at AROBS Polska for their vital work in securing the future of satellite communications. ESA Connectivity and Secure Communications selected AROBS Polska to lead the PQC ASTrAL project. This project aims to develop post-quantum cryptographic systems to protect satellites from emerging cybersecurity threats posed by quantum computing. Their work includes designing the hardware and firmware to host the cryptographic core, ensuring secure authentication, encryption, and key management in space. This project is a great opportunity to demonstrate and further strengthen our R&D performance, benefiting the entire AROBS Group. We are proud to announce that AROBS Polska, part of AROBS Group, has been chosen by the ESA Connectivity and Secure Communications - the European Space Agency - ESA to lead the PQC ASTrAL project. This initiative addresses one of the most critical challenges in satellite cybersecurity—protecting communications against future threats posed by quantum computing. PQC ASTrAL aims to implement a cryptographic system resistant to quantum attacks, allowing satellites to perform authentication, digital signatures, and encryption in a secure and sustainable manner. AROBS Polska will develop the hardware and firmware as the prime contractor, while ResQuant will contribute cryptographic expertise. This project is a great opportunity to demonstrate and further strengthen our R&D performance. "Securing satellite communications is a complex challenge, especially for long-duration devices with limited physical access. [...] With the rapid advancements in quantum computers, traditional cryptographic standards no longer provide long-term security guarantees. By integrating post-quantum algorithms and implementing security mechanisms in hardware, PQC ASTrAL significantly reduces these risks by separating cryptographic processing from core systems and minimizing vulnerabilities to cyberattacks. This approach ensures a high level of security for satellite communications, anticipating the industry needs for the years to come," said Michal Szwajewski, PMP, IWE, CEO of AROBS Polska. We are thrilled to announce that SVT Electronics has joined AROBS Group. The acquisition will significantly accelerate the development of the TrackGPS by AROBS digital platform by expanding our offering of innovative solutions for fleet management. SVT is a Romanian company that develops comprehensive solutions for tachograph data management and analysis. Its portfolio includes Tacho2Safe and Tacho5Safe, TachoSafe Remote Download (RDU), and TachoSafe Web. To date, over 120,000 manual and offline TachoSafe data download devices and more than 19,000 remote download devices have been introduced to the market. Together with the SaaS-based TachoSafe Web platform, these solutions manage data for more than 19,000 vehicles and 23,000 driver cards monthly. "This acquisition marks another step in our strategic direction of investing in advanced technology solutions to accelerate our growth in the telematics market in Europe. We believe that SVT Electronics' expertise in developing tachograph data collection equipment and their digital analytics platform will bring significant value to the AROBS ecosystem," stated Voicu Oprean, Founder and CEO of AROBS.
