They can arise from various sources ranging from changes in technology, laws and regulations, market dynamics, social trends, geopolitical events, or environmental factors. Emerging risks can manifest unique challenges as they can be difficult to predict, assess, and manage, particularly when they have not been encountered before, and may evolve gradually or emerge suddenly, creating uncertainty. Risk and safety practitioners need to understand the dynamics of risk and the management fundamentals to which they will be able to establish a strong foundation of knowledge and skills to subdue or establish control mechanism counting on the best available information.
