This year’s theme is all about sharing public spaces, where people, transport and public life all have their own place. Space reallocation in our urban areas is the key to achieve this. Both core city areas and our own home neighbourhood streets.

✅ In recent years, Cargo Bikes have emerged as champions of #LastMileDelivery, reshaping Urban Logistics and enabling a significant step towards cleaner, greener and more resilient cities.
The integration of these vehicles, which are clearly more sustainable than traditional last mile delivery vans and enable a more efficient use of space in urban logistics, represents a new era for companies that want to optimise their operations and reduce their environmental impact.
❗ However, the challenges are considerable: without a coherent national framework, municipalities struggle with complex regulations and infrastructural constraints.
To try to respond to these issues, Arup and Tour de Force, drawing upon real-world case studies in #Rotterdam, have produced the report ‘Space for Cargo Bikes’, a guide offering practical insights into how cities can successfully integrate cargo bikes into their urban logistics environment.

👉🏻 Solutions such as Cargo Bikes and alternative and more sustainable #Delivery methods, which can make urban logistics more efficient and sustainable, will also be tested in the #MEDCOLOURSProject.
🎯 #MEDCOLOURS involves 6 cities (Livorno, Cesena, Thessaloniki, Koper, Lisbon, and Lyon) in the implementation of 5 #PilotActions and 6 #SustainableUrbanLogisticsPlans, with the objective of upscaling towards a new generation of logistics and urban planning that allows the transition towards decarbonised and smart cities.

O Urbanismo Verde do Programa REGENERA são ajustados a realidade local, embarcando ativos educacionais interativos, capacitações e projetos inovadores que vão muito além da melhoria da Paisagem urbana, alcançando e oferecendo Soluções de "Inovação Inclusiva e Sustentável".

que a mesma mão que extrai ou destrói uma árvore também poderia replantar...
que ter o verde por perto é mais agradável e saudável;
que as árvores são amigas silenciosas; que elas respiram e limpam o CO2 do ar;
que elas reduzem a temperatura e o estresse;
que elas existiam na terra muito antes de nós;
que são inteligentes, pois buscam sempre sobreviver e ter um lugar ao sol;
que os povos nativos não destroem a floresta, replantam;
que a floresta anda sozinha através da semente, do vento, dos pássaros,
que podemos não ter uma árvore por perto, mas existe um ecossistema, um microclima, um sistema natural controlador macro ligado a cada micro;
que sem elas, somos nós que não conseguiremos sobreviver em breve, por mais dinheiro que possamos ter.
