We recently surveyed 629 participants aged 18–85 across 4 separate studies to explore perceptions of our new tool, #CogniclearVR, a VR-based assessment designed to detect early cognitive decline. 📊 The response? • 87% of all-age participants had a positive or extremely positive reaction • 81% of seniors (60–85) expressed likelihood to try it • Top drivers: insurance coverage, credibility, and home-based access • Two settings, equal interest: ~41% preferred clinical; ~40% preferred home These findings reflect not only a growing awareness of dementia but also strong demand for accessible, accurate, and engaging diagnostic tools. Did you know that a peer-reviewed study in Catalunya found that BHH & MHH member Virtuleap's Enhance VR cognitive therapy tool improves emotional regulation in youth? 📃 That's right researchers from the BrainXR Lab & Department of Psychology of Universitat Internacional de Catalunya, in collaboration with the Consorci Sanitari de Terrassa, spotted the key findings in: 🧠 Cognitive improvement: Enhance VR users showed enhanced executive functions, including working memory and cognitive flexibility. 🫀 Emotional regulation: The study found improved emotion management, reducing anxiety and depression symptoms. These results suggest that VR-based cognitive training programs like Enhance VR can be effective tools for supporting adolescents at risk of executive dysfunction. Yesterday, Virtuleap had the honor of being part of Lisbon Experience Day, an initiative under the #SocialInnovationPrize from the Lisbon City Council! As one of the selected startups, we are thrilled to be implementing an upcoming pilot in Lisbon, pushing the boundaries of healthtech innovation alongside a fantastic group of changemakers. The event, organized by Unicorn Factory Lisboa brought together specialists, mentors, and key players in the ecosystem to help us refine our solutions and maximize our impact. A huge thank you to the Câmara Municipal de Lisboa, the organizers, and all the experts who shared their insights with us throughout the day. And, of course, a special moment for us—meeting the Mayor of Lisbon!  Exciting times ahead for Virtuleap as we bring our virtual reality-based solutions to the city of Lisbon and its citizens!

Yesterday, we met an incredible 79-year-old participant at a workshop who lit up trying our #EnhanceVR cognitive training tool. It's the stepping stone to an upcoming pilot as part of the #LisbonInnovation4All program with Câmara Municipal de Lisboa, Unicorn Factory Lisboa, and Projecto Alkantara - Associação de Luta Contra a Exclusão Social. After the session, the participant thanked us for the experience and volunteered to be the first recruit in our upcoming pilot with older adults in Lisbon!
