Born from a love of craftsmanship and the open road, Siesta Campers started 20 years ago by restoring and building campervans by hand. We're thrilled to be the first rental company in Portugal to receive the new VW California Ocean T7, based on the new Multivan chassis. Packed with amazing features like voice control commands, a sleek 5.0-inch control screen by the sliding door, and automatic parking to make life easy. Plus, there are twin sliding doors for those dreamy panoramic beach views. This van is going to be popular in 2025!

Another year, another unforgettable Siesta holiday meet-up! 🎳🥂 This year we celebrated the team's hard work with a bit of bowling and a beautiful dinner by the sea. With an ever-growing team across Portugal and Spain, our annual Siesta gathering brings us all together to meet the faces behind the names while enjoying good food, good drinks and good company. What started with Loyd and Claire Rozzo fixing VW engines under a carob tree has grown into a campervan rental company that stands out among the rest, but Siesta wouldn’t be what it is today without the hard-working team behind the brand! In 2025 Siesta will expand further into Spain to continue helping travellers experience the joys of vanlife on the Iberian Peninsula, and we are so excited for the future! 🚌 ✨ Thank you all for being a part of this journey! 🩵

Did you know we care for and manage 4.2 hectares of wild national park in the Serra da Abelheira, in the south of Portugal? This land, once devastated by the fires of 2017, has been our focus for restoration and replanting. But if there’s one thing we’ve learned, it’s that planting is easy—keeping young trees alive through some of the hottest summers in recent years is the real challenge. To give these trees a fighting chance, we’ve invested in machinery to dig deeper holes with looser soil, significantly improving their chances of survival. It’s a labour of love and a continuous learning journey. We feel incredibly privileged to be the guardians of this beautiful wild space and are committed to restoring it to its natural, thriving state. Our Team loves to get out of the office and head to the hills.

At the end of each year we usually send our previous season’s campervan bedding to be recycled, but last month we found a new way to give back to our community that felt better than recycling! With the help of the Banco de Recursos Lagos Solidário (Lagos Homeless Planning and Intervention Centre) and its initiative to provide warmth and comfort to the more than 85 individuals currently experiencing homelessness in Lagos, we were able to donate 12 large bags of bedding, duvets and sleeping bags to help those who need it most as nighttime temperatures begin to drop. At Siesta Campers we’re committed to sustainability and supporting our local community, and we’re always looking for the opportunity to do more. By donating rather than recycling, we hope to show that even small actions can make a big difference! Thank you to the team at Banco de Recursos Lagos Solidário, the Instituto Fonte de Vida, MAPS and the Municipality of Lagos for facilitating the initiative and making our donation possible. We’ve completed so many great motorhome builds this year, and it’s truly a privilege to work with such a talented and detail-oriented team. Now, those motorhomes are being put to the test in the most demanding R&D environment—the rental market. We’re proud to say they’re performing well, and we’re grateful for the chance to see our hard work in action. See how the magic happens with this slice of behind-the-scenes.

Action speaks louder than words; our Algarve workshop team downed tools to take part in our 3rd Annual Beach Cleanup. 145kg of trash was collected (down from 650kg in year 1!). This is proof that small, consistent actions create big waves of change. We also built some trash art for The International Trash Art Awards.
