The Manager, Accounts Payable is responsible for overseeing the global Accounts Payable activities related to all regional offices, which includes operating expenses (OPEX), voyage payables, overhead or general & administrative payables, project payables and others as required.
This position will be a key contact person for the global Finance & Accounting team and Operations teams.
Major Responsibilities
To lead, manage and develop the Accounts Payable Team in support of its objectives and ensure that Seapeak quality standards are maintained
Maintain weekly and monthly communication regarding accounts payable status with key business partners, with a specific focus on risk areas and obstacles impacting performance, and act as the key point of contact for invoice processing and issue escalation
Maintain documentation of the Accounts Payable function internal control procedures and ensure compliance with internal and external audit requirements
Identify process inefficiencies and assist in designing and implementing effective solutions
Optimize invoicing techniques, including invoice processing efficiency, accuracy, productivity metrics and lead time to cycle completion
Responsible for personnel management, including monitoring performance and competence levels of staff, as well as the completion of performance appraisals
Ensure the development of a strong and effective team that works as a cohesive unit, focusing on motivating and coaching team members
Develop training plans to support staff development and continuous improvement
Assist with ad hoc Accounts Payable or Finance & Accounting department projects as required
Requirements, Knowledge, Skills
Bachelor's/College Degree or Post Graduate Diploma / Master's Degree, Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent
Sufficient combined experience of working in a multinational Accounting and/or Accounts Payable department
Experience of managing the AP cycle end to end for global entities
Highly motivated, structured and quality-driven individual who possesses strong initiative and excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Knowledge of processing a high volume of transactions in a global environment
Demonstrates team collaboration and experience with diverse team interactions and team facilitating
Strong English, bothwritten and oral
Communication skills to communicate and collaborate with the global operations team
Ability to manage team goals and metrics
High level of integrity
Strong business acumen
