Engineering Manager

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly experienced and dynamic Chapter Lead to join our esteemed global financial institution. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of talented Java developers in creating robust, scalable, and efficient software solutions that power our critical financial systems.

Mandatory Skill-set

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field;
• At least 7+ years of experience in Java development;
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership role, preferably in the financial services industry;
• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and related technologies;
• Proficiency in microservices architecture, RESTful API development, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.);
• Understanding of SOAP, GraphQL, and API versioning strategies;
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (Git), and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes);
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges;

Desired Skill-set

• Understanding of security concepts like authentication, authorization, encryption, and secure coding practices;
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders;

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of Java developers in the design, development, and maintenance of complex financial applications;
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements, scope, and timelines;
• Oversee code reviews, ensure adherence to coding standards, and promote best practices in software development;
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture;
• Contribute to architectural decisions and participate in the evaluation of new technologies and tools;
• Ensure the successful delivery of projects by monitoring progress, managing risks, and resolving issues in a timely manner;
• Work closely with other teams (QA, DevOps, Product Management) to ensure seamless integration and delivery of solutions;
