NZAGE (New Zealand Association of Graduate Employers)
Industry Associations
The NZAGE is a national not-for-profit body established to develop and improve the early talent industry in New Zealand
About us
The New Zealand Association of Graduate Employers Incorporated (NZAGE) is a national body formed in 2011 by a group of employers dedicated to improving early talent recruitment and development practice. The NZAGE is the industry body educating and supporting organisations that currently or wish to recruit or develop New Zealand's early talent. The NZAGE is supported by a broad range of organisations, including large and small employers across many industries in both the private and public sectors. The NZAGE also seeks to consult with related associations, including careers advisory services, non-profit bodies and companies which offer services within early talent recruitment and development. The NZAGE is a not-for-profit body. It doesn't receive government funding; rather its activities are entirely supported by funds raised by way of annual subscriptions, events and services provided to the early talent recruitment industry. The Association is led by a dedicated board and committee of volunteers who donate their time to help manage our member offering. All our board and committee volunteers have 'day jobs' as early talent leaders at one of the NZAGE's member organisations. This structure gives the NZAGE a unique ability to provide our members and the wider early talent industry with valuable and relevant services. Email us at info@nzage.co.nz

Early engagement makes a difference 👨🎓👩🎓 Want to know one of the strongest predictors of where grads end up working? Previous experience with an employer. Early engagement and investing in work experience programmes today builds your future workforce tomorrow. In the 2024 NZAGE Graduate Survey, 63% of grads had some form of work experience with their grad employer before securing a grad role. This highlights the critical role of intern programmes in your early talent pipeline. If internships aren’t a possibility for your organisation, why not think broader. Virtual internships, case competitions, summer jobs and/or casual work all help create connections with future grads before they formally enter the workforce. Looking for more insights like this? As an NZAGE employer member who participates in our surveys (Grad, Intern, Employer and Salary), you gain FREE access to these reports. Appreciation Post 🙌 Behind every well-run organisation is someone who keeps the wheels turning — for NZAGE, that person is Bronwyn Sweeney. Bronwyn has been the glue that holds us all together since mid-2023. She's the brains behind all our admin and comms, and the one keeping us on task and focused. Her contribution to NZAGE is immeasurable ✅ To top it off, our South Island team finally caught up in person over brunch yesterday, after nearly two years of working together virtually 🍽️ Thank you, Bronwyn, for your work and unwavering dedication to our team and members. We’re lucky to have you 💙
