The 7th edition of the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) Arbitration Rules, which came into force on 1 January 2025, incorporates a new procedure for obtaining interim relief on an ex parte basis. The Singapore International Arbitration Centre has published the 7th edition of its arbitration rules, which come into force on 1 January 2025. In this update from Lindsay Francis & Mangan partner Mark Mangan and associate Abhishek Srivastava we review the key features of the new SIAC Rules, which build on the success of previous iterations while incorporating new innovations following an extensive multi-year consultation process. They can be expected to reinforce SIAC’s growing popularity across the Asia-Pacific and beyond.
