We were delighted to celebrate the opening of Lindsay Francis & Mangan’s new Sydney office with distinguished guests, friends and colleagues overlooking the magnificent Sydney Harbour. The Museum of Contemporary Art Australia provided a stunning backdrop as we welcomed Matt Lee as a partner of the firm and marked an important milestone in the growth of our specialist Asia-Pacific commercial disputes practice. The evening also provided us with the opportunity to thank our clients and supporters, without whom none of this would be possible. #disputes #litigation #commerciallitigation #arbitration #internationalarbitration #whitecollarlitigation #securitieslitigation #antitrustlitigation #competitionlitigation #lindsayfrancismangan #LFM #MCAAustralia

The Singapore International Arbitration Centre has published the 7th edition of its arbitration rules, which come into force on 1 January 2025. In this update from Lindsay Francis & Mangan partner Mark Mangan and associate Abhishek Srivastava we review the key features of the new SIAC Rules, which build on the success of previous iterations while incorporating new innovations following an extensive multi-year consultation process. They can be expected to reinforce SIAC’s growing popularity across the Asia-Pacific and beyond. The new rules will be the subject of a detailed comparative analysis in the forthcoming third edition of 'A Guide to the SIAC Arbitration Rules' (Oxford University Press), co-written by LFM’s Mark Mangan. #SIAC #SingaporeInternationalArbitrationCentre #Singapore #internationalarbitration #internationaldisputes #LFM

Was your business affected by the CrowdStrike outage? Some of you may be able to claim – whether in whole or in part – on Cyber Insurance policies. But can you get compensation from CrowdStrike itself? For businesses with their principal offices in the Asia-Pacific, including New Zealand, CrowdStrike’s standard terms and conditions are governed by NY law, with disputes to be submitted to arbitration under the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Rules in Singapore. If you are a New Zealand or Asia-Pacific business facing difficulties as a result of the CrowdStrike outage please reach out for a confidential discussion. We have a leading arbitration practice and offices in Singapore and Auckland, with deep ICC arbitration expertise including two partners who have served on the ICC Court of Arbitration - Mark Mangan (present) and Timothy Lindsay (past) – as well as NY law advice capability and experience across technology disputes, to quickly and efficiently assess your options.
