Celebrating 5 Years of Partnership with Ecotricity NZ Robotron New Zealand Limited proudly marks the fifth anniversary of its successful partnership with Ecotricity NZ, New Zealand’s leading provider of 100% renewable and climate-positive electricity. Since 2020, Ecotricity has been using robotron*esales software — achieving significant milestones in digital innovation and sustainable growth. What started with just 5,500 ICPs has now grown to 35,000 ICPs. The robotron*esales solution is integral not only for billing highly innovative energy products, but also for offer calculation, forecasting and comprehensive portfolio management. Over the course of this five-year partnership, Robotron New Zealand Limited and Ecotricity NZ have successfully delivered cutting-edge projects, including demand response management trials like the Lincoln project with Orion. The collaboration has also contributed to Ecotricity's recognition in winning Energy Excellence Awards including the coveted Retailer of the Year award in 2023. We are proud to be part of Ecotricity’s journey towards a more sustainable and efficient energy future. A big thank you goes out to the entire Ecotricity team for their continued trust and collaboration. Here’s to the next five years—and beyond.

  • We love the innovation, environmental impact and pure performance that EVs offer. And their technical specs continue to blow petrol and diesel cars out of the water. 🚗⚡ But EVs are also just...FUN! Check out this video of Gavin Shoebridge using the built-in mains power of the new BYD Shark to dry his clothes. And best of all, it’s powered by the solar energy he’s generated from his roof! ☀️💚 In a power cut, EVs and solar are real and accessible solutions for backup energy and help secure New Zealand’s energy future.

  • Electrifying your home could save you $20,000! Getting off gas isn’t just good for the planet, it’s great on your wallet too 🌏⚡ With rising gas prices and environmental concerns, choosing to electrify your heating, hot water, and cooking is important to consider. Check out the below slides to dive into why going electric is the way to go for a healthier, greener future including reasons like: ⚡Gas is more expensive ⚡Electric is more energy efficient ⚡Environmental impact is greatly reduced The transition from gas to electric doesn't need to happen all at once. Replace gas appliances with electric alternatives as they reach end of life. Getting off gas is a worthwhile switch to secure a cleaner and more affordable energy future for your home! 🥳🏠⚡

Solar power has now become the cheapest form of electricity generation in history! So Gav went to check out a solar farm with: ☀️ 5,740 panels ☀️ 4 MW peak generation ☀️ 6,500 m² land area Thank you to our mates at Kiwi Solar and Andrew Beckett for answering our questions and busting the internet's myths 👊

And the good news keeps coming!! Late November 2024 Phoenix Recycling secured Aotearoa NZ's first ever hazardous waste export permit to recycle solar panels. As NZ installs more solar renewable energy systems we can now safely manage its waste stream responsibly; recovering the raw materials for reuse. We have now done our first shipment of 39,050 kgs (39.05 MT) !!! Congratulations to Jasmine Faulkner and her team for persevering to get this service and supply chain solution underway. More details to follow in the coming weeks on how to utilize our services for this hazardous waste stream. Another waste stream we can now divert from New Zealand's landfills at their end-of-life or if they have been damaged! The #Cybertruck is making its way around New Zealand and Australia, attracting both interest & criticism. Our EV expert Gavin Shoebridge takes a closer look in our newest YouTube video at this polarising vehicle and answers some important questions: ⚡ Is it as bad as the internet claims? ⚡ Why can't you buy it in right hand drive? ⚡ And why is it very unlikely to sell in NZ? Let us know your thoughts below!

  • Solar Keeps Growing and Growing!🌞⚡ This summer, solar farms hit record breaking energy generation levels with a max. average daily generation of 69MW and an average weekly generation of 5.57GWh. All that sunshine could power 795 houses for a year! 🏠 In December 2024, solar generation contributed more energy than thermal generation for the first time ever. Increased solar and wind generation leads to overall cheaper electricity, especially in wholesale prices. Renewables are the future of clean, affordable electricity. ☀️ Want to know how your business can reap the benefits of Aotearoa's sun? Reach out to our solar team!
