After another busy year, most of our team is taking a well-deserved break spending time with family and friends over this festive season. They are looking forward to coming back from January 6 refreshed and ready to go for another exciting year of delivering quality projects across all of Aotearoa. Movember, what a month it has been - well done to everyone that grew a mo, shaved an old mo, or ran & walked to raise money & build awareness of key men's health issues. The Auckland team are shown here before, during and after with both our North and South Island teams having raised over $51,000! An incredible effort and our heartfelt thanks to all those that supported our teams. As Movember comes to a close it is shave off day and the team has done an incredible job of raising funds. The management team are fully behind the effort taken by the mo-members and will match the funds raised by each of them with 0.25c in the dollar. So, this is our last push effort to get as much as we can before the mos are off and we sign off for another year. If you haven't yet donated and can, it is all greatly appreciated. With only a couple of days fundraising (and ugly uncomfortable mos) to go, the team have done an awesome job raising over $30k but wouldn't it be great if we could make it to $40k!! Last Tuesday was our 14th year in running Chopper Cup, a sailing regatta raising funds for the Auckland Rescue Helicopter Trust. With 29 boats in the fleet, the weather excelled for everyone to have a great day out on the beautiful Waitemata Harbour, followed by an amazing BBQ and auction where almost $150,000 was raised. Our thanks to the skippers for providing their boats and time, and to the corporates who paid for the awesome experience - better work stories right there!! Auckland Airport's Transport Hub is complete! We’re delighted to share the news on the completion of the Auckland Airport's Transport Hub, a major #infrastructure project advancing passenger experience, #transport efficiency and #sustainability. Designed with the future of #travel in mind, this hub reflects the airport’s commitment to sustainable infrastructure, including an expansive 1.49 megawatt rooftop solar array that supports EV charging and reduces the building’s energy footprint.   The hub features more than 320 meters of covered kerbside space, optimized for efficient traffic flow, as well as pedestrian pathways surrounded by native planting, creating a welcoming, distinctly #Aotearoa feel. Every part of the project - from doubling drop-off/pick-up capacity to providing a 4,500m2, 5-Star Green rated office space - was a team effort, integrating innovative design with the movement of 10,000 daily vehicles.   Through this #collaboration with Auckland Airport and our dedicated project partners, we’re proud to contribute a lasting, passenger-focused addition of strategic importance to the airport precinct.   A few figures: Circa 80,000m2 of gross building area Over 2,000 additional undercover carparks More than 30 new electric vehicle charging stations 2,542 solar panels across 14,000m2 of roof area producing a 1,490 megawatt hour(MWh) /annum which represents approximately 625 tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e) emissions per year.   This is equivalent to:  137 fossil-fuel-powered cars driven for one year 139 homes powered for a year About 426 Electric vehicles (EVs) charged for a year About 24,833 60W LED lightbulbs powered for a year.   #Thankyou to each organisation and individual that has made this project possible, with - of course - a massive thanks to every great human from the peddlethorp team that helped make this project possible.
