With their volume and level of sophistication on the rise, AI cyber-attacks are the top concern for business security leaders. A new State of Cybersecurity Index, compiled from a survey of 700 leaders and employees across Australia and New Zealand, puts AI-based threats as the main concern for security leaders. And although most (>70%) think employees are well-informed on the topic, only about half of employees agree. https://lnkd.in/gUGzGc4g #Cybersecurity #AIattacks #AI #cyberthreats #AIbasedattacks Collin Penman Lou Compagnone Justin Gray David Stafford-Gaffney Petro Nel Mark Micklefield Laura Malcolm

“The only way to ensure AI use grows at a sustainable pace is to rethink how we use the technology.” As gen-AI usage explodes, it’s predicted that increasing data centre loads could see them consuming up to 12% of total US electricity by 2028, up from 4.4% in 2023. Datacom Director of AI Lou Compagnone discusses how we can grow powerful new technology deliberately and sustainably by embracing “AI at the edge”. https://lnkd.in/gW7nbSsn #AI #GenAI #Sustainability #AIAtTheEdge #DataCentres #LookBeyondToday
