Stronger connections between #Norway and #Germany at the 𝗚𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻-𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘄𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 #Kiel! After two instructive days in Kiel I have at least one conclusion, and that is that the willingness to collaborate between the maritime Industry and the R&D sector is still very much present! Our members HYDS - Hydrogen Solutions represented by Frode Kirkedam, and Hexagon Purus Maritime, by Robert Haugen, had excellent contributions from the stage and in the technology panel. Together with Steffen Knodt Knodt from German Aerospace Center (DLR) we organized a workshop on Green Propulsion and Green Corridors, concluding that a more holistic view from a larger set of stakeholders is critical to develop this further. In the panel debate, Maritime Collaboration and Policy, we discussed collaboration on topics like competence building and vocational training, access to renewables for the maritime and the urgent need to make the industry following Odfjell example of focusing a lot more on energy efficiency measures in the fleet. Ammoniakk – et (tilnærmet) utslippsfritt drivstoff for fremtiden 🌍🚢 For å møte framtidens krav om reduserte klimagassutslipp og mer bærekraftig ressursbruk, må vi finne innovative løsninger. Ammoniakk som drivstoff for maritim transport står frem som en lovende løsning. Ved å implementere ammoniakk i skip og maritime fartøy, kan vi ikke bare kutte utslippene, men også styrke den lokale økonomien. Etablering av ammoniakkproduksjon i nærområdet vil skape nye arbeidsplasser og bidra til en grønn omstilling som gagner både næringslivet og miljøet. Strengthening German-Norwegian maritime collaboration 🇩🇪🇳🇴 On March 26-27, we will participate in the German-Norwegian Maritime Conference in Kiel, hosted by Norsk-Tysk Handelskammer. This key forum is dedicated to advancing decarbonization, digitalization, and green, smart shipping while fostering stronger bilateral partnerships between Germany and Norway.
