As part of Norwegian PM Jonas Gahr Støre`s business delegation to Brussels and the European Union yesterday, Nammo underlined the importance of maintaining trade and cooperation that enhances defense capabilities, reduces protectionism and avoids disrupting supply chains. Nammo also hightlighted its integration in northern Europe and position to support capacity increases for many nations. Collaboration is vital as we continue to navigate the largest production increase since World War II.

Nammo signs joint statement of strategic partnership with Ukrainian partner   Nammo and its Ukrainian partner seek to widen the scope of current cooperation to also include a wider array of ammunition, components, and materials.  The partnership builds on successful cooperation on transferring 155mm artillery technology to Ukraine, supported bilaterally by the governments of Norway and Ukraine.  The cooperation will help meet the need of Ukraine for sovereign and national ammunition production.  The joint statement was signed under the auspices of Ukraine`s Minister of Strategic Industries Herman Smetanin, Advisor to the President for Strategic Affairs Oleksandr Kamyshin, and Norway`s State Secretary of Defense Andreas Flåm. This just in! 👉 Nammo selected by Denmark's MoD to re-establish ammo production in Denmark Nammo has been selected by Denmark´s Ministry of Defense to re-establish ammunition production at the Elling plant in Jutland, Denmark.  Production of small and large caliber ammunition by Nammo at the Elling plant will contribute to value creation and job creation in Denmark, and bolster security of supply for Denmark, the Nordic region, and NATO.   Nammo is already working on enhancing ammunition interchangeability in the Nordics, including Denmark, to benefit the armed forces across the region. New Nammo production in Denmark will lead to even greater ammunition interchangeability for the region. In a statement Morten Brandtzæg, President & CEO of Nammo AS said:  “We are honored by this selection and the confidence placed in us. Nammo has what it takes to become a long-term and solid partner for Denmark, with deep industrial and technical expertise, established supply chains, and solid Norwegian-Finnish ownership to bolster lasting Nordic cooperation. We look forward to finalising an agreement to get production started.”

In partnership with General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems, Nammo Defense Systems Inc. is working with the US Army Joint Program Executive Office Armaments & Ammunition to launch the M1128 Artillery Program. Nammo was pleased to host the Army’s Project Manager Combat Ammunition Systems (PM CAS), Colonel Leon (Slim) Rogers for a visit to the company’s 300-gallon propellant mixing facility in the City of Mesa, Arizona where the base bleed propellant for the M1128 Artillery round will be manufactured.
