𝐀𝐤𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 Equinor 𝐚𝐬 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐠 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 This project has truly been a monumental effort! Aker Solutions has been involved in the Johan Castberg project since 2013, working closely with Equinor to develop cost-effective solutions. We’ve worked on topside design, subsea systems, and module deliveries, and in 2022 the FPSO arrived at our yard at Stord for installation and completion activities. When Johan Castberg arrived at the field in the Barents Sea, Aker Solutions assisted Equinor with mooring the FPSO to the field and hook up activities. The project has been one of the largest and most complex undertakings in Aker Solutions’ history, and has included contributions from many of our locations, such as Fornebu, Mumbai, Kristiansand, Stord, Verdal, Egersund and Sandnessjøen. ✅ Over 11,000 individuals have contributed to the project. ✅ The project has engaged more than 1,150 subcontractors  ✅ More than 100 apprentices have gained valuable experience through Johan Castberg. ✅ The project’s use of a 3D printer inspired us to launch our own Additive Manufacturing Centre of Excellence both at Stord, but also in several other locations in Aker Solutions. "Johan Castberg has shaped the everyday work of thousands of our people at Aker Solutions – in engineering offices, at our yards, and offshore. Our close collaboration with Equinor has been central to this success, and Johan Castberg showcases the strength, resilience, and capabilities of the Norwegian supplier industry," says our CEO Kjetel Digre. The project has allowed us to invest in skills development, digitalization, and continuous improvements – expertise that is transferable to other projects, including our renewables and transitional solutions. 𝐂𝐂𝐒 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐭: 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐖𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲! 🎉 We are proud to share that we have been awarded a contract for Phase 2 of the Northern Lights CO2 storage project on the west coast of Norway! The contract was awarded by Equinor on behalf of the Northern Lights JV joint venture partners. We sucessfully delivered Phase 1 in 2024 – the second phase will boost the annual storage capacity from 1.5 million tonnes to at least 5 million tonnes. 🌱💨 Carbon capture and storage (CCS) is a crucial technology for reaching climate goals in several industries, and we are proud to contribute to significant projects like these! Our scope is the engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPC) of the onshore facilities. The project will involve our locations at Fornebu and Stord, Norway, and Mumbai, India. 𝐏𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐆𝐫𝐢𝐩 𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫: 𝐖𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐝 𝐈𝐭 – 𝐓𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫! 💪 This year’s Aker Solutions Power Grip on Cancer campaign raised a record 2̳.̳1̳ m̳i̳l̳l̳i̳o̳n̳ ̳k̳r̳o̳n̳e̳r̳ to support vital research by Kreftforeningen (Norwegian Cancer Society) on genetic testing for cancer. Thanks to colleagues who shared personal stories and those who organised bake sales, auctions, ice bathing and a host of activities across our locations. The company matched all donations 2:1. Together, the Aker companies raised more than NOK 6.5 million —another milestone achievement that we can really be proud of 👏 A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed—Your efforts give hope and save lives. 💙 #krafttakmotkreft

𝐖𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐀𝐈 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐰𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐞, 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐞𝐬?   🤖🧠 Our Chief Digital & AI Officer Sara Amar was speaking about digitalization and artificial intelligence at the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe in Geneva this week to governmental representatives, policy makers and NGOs. Aker Solutions leverages AI across markets, to develop new products and improve productivity. This is the future of the energy industry and will be essential to meet UN goals. 𝐋𝐞𝐭’𝐬 𝐝𝐨 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐲 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠!  💪💪💪 A couple of serious cranes were needed to lift the 273-tonne piece known as “PAU-39” into place for the Hugin A module at our Egersund yard.  Now, only the top level – the weather deck – remains to be added. Weighing an impressive 7000 tonnes, this module is the largest new build project at our Egersund yard in many years.  Around 1200 people, including numerous apprentices, are working to complete the structure. Later this year, the module will be shipped to our Stord facility to become part of the Hugin A topsides. Hugin A will serve as the area centre for the Aker BP ASA Yggdrasil development. The project involves several hundred Norwegian suppliers and supports thousands of jobs across the country. We are proud to contribute to this major development that strengthens local industry and expertise!  🦚

𝐀 𝐠𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐲𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭... 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐞! ♻️ Recycling household waste is second nature to us, but what happens when the 'waste' is a gigantic 40-year-old, oil & gas platform? Repsol’s old platform Gyda was removed from the field in 2022 with the help of the world’s largest construction vessel Pioneering Spirit. Every piece of it has now been safely dismantled, with a recycling rate of 98.5% Parts of it are even reemerging as a 100% recycled aluminum bridge in the Norwegian city of Trondheim! 𝐒𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐬:  ✅ The 28,000-tonne platform was originally built in the late 1980s by Aker Solutions’ yards in Verdal and Egersund, and Worley Rosenberg in Stavanger.  ✅ 12 complicated toppling operations were safely executed. By systematically bringing sections of the platform to the ground, the need for manual labor and work at height was significantly reduced, contributing to strong HSSE results.  ✅ Recycling Gyda’s materials has prevented 40,758 tonnes of CO2 emissions compared to producing new steel. Check out the Hugin A wellbay module at Drydocks World! The wellbay module is a key part of the 30.000 tonnes Hugin A topsides, which will be assembled and finalized at our yard at Stord. Hugin A is the area centre of the Aker BP ASA-operated Yggdrasil area. More than 300 people at the yard in Dubai are involved in delivering the wellbay module. Work now continues with piping, electrical, insulation and equipment installations.
