Did you know 4% of the time, commercial solar parks in the Netherlands can’t deliver power to the grid? That’s roughly 350 hours per year of clean, renewable energy—wasted. Not because the sun isn’t shining. Not because the panels aren’t working. But because the grid can’t handle it. And here’s the real kicker: At the same time, fossil fuel based power plants are running to cover peak demand. So while we’re curbing clean energy, we’re still burning fossil fuels.... For a country pushing hard on the energy transition, this is a major and unnecessary bottleneck. A few weeks ago Wintersol Energy joined the validation program of YES!Delft. Today Pablo Benéitez hosted an interesting session on the mom test.
