About last week.. Colombia rocks! 🇨🇴 The Construverde event in Bogotá emphasized the importance of data in sustainability and business profitability. Highlights included the construction industry's significant impact on global GDP, energy consumption, and CO2 emissions. Key takeaways stressed the need for measurable indicators to reduce the built environment's negative impact, enhance resource efficiency, and develop circular, regenerative urban systems. The event showcased strategies for sustainable construction, emphasizing the integration of natural and urban systems for resilient cities. I am very pleased to see that people are looking beyond the carbon tunnel vision and that social impact (youth involvement), restoration, and regeneration have received attention.
