🟦 Kick-off with Paebbl: Another Step for GOLDBECK's Blue Concrete! 🟦 Last week, we had the pleasure of hosting the Paebbl team for an intensive two-day kick-off meeting at our headquarters in Bielefeld and our plant in Hamm. GOLDBECK's overall goal: nature-positive buildings in the 2030s – and to achieve this, we are continuously evaluating innovative technologies to decarbonize our precast concrete elements and ready-mix concrete. Paebbl's technology aligns with this ambition: They produce a supplementary cementitious material (SCM) using CO₂-loaded olivine rock, which can be used as a cement replacement. This impact lever is why we are not only interested in the technology for commercial applications but also why Aurum Impact, the impact investing firm backed by the GOLDBECK family, invested in Paebbl last year. During our meetings, we discussed the strategic direction of our collaboration and conducted initial trials at our Hamm plant. The first results are promising and provide a solid foundation for further development! 💡 Through our Blue Concrete approach, we bring together cutting-edge technologies to significantly reduce CO₂ emissions in concrete production. Collaborations with strong partners like Paebbl are a part of this journey. Thanks to all participants for their great contributions over these two days: Lukas Romanowski, Dr.-Ing. Thomas Adams, Dirk Steensma, Dr. Pamela Zuschlag, Marta Sjögren, Ana Luisa Vaz, Sonia Soares, Ameya Kamat, Durgaprasad Ramteke Mats Multhaupt (Aurum Impact) We are excited about the next steps! 🚀

✨ Paebbl is showcasing at Stockholm Design Week (3–9 February) 👋 Come and say hello to our team (Ana Luisa Vaz, Marta Sjögren, and Frederic Ljung) on site! 🔄 By re-designing and re-thinking the building environment, we can reduce the carbon curve. Using Paebbl materials, we can potentially build 50% more at the same carbon footprint while permanently storing CO₂. 👇 LOCK AWAY CARBON, BUILD MORE. 👇 LEFT: Traditional Concrete 3.8 cubes = 1 kg CO₂ footprint RIGHT: Concrete with 30% Paebbl Material 6.0 cubes = 1 kg CO₂ footprint

Och att “workers can expect that two-fifths (39%) of their existing skill sets will be transformed or become outdated over the 2025-2030 period.”
