We are happy to announce that project EMARS is on its way with an official kick-off meeting. We're thrilled to share details about our innovative project: Engineering Hair-Bearing Models for Advanced Hair Regeneration Studies (EMARS). This initiative aims to develop hair-bearing skin constructs to improve treatment for deep wounds, burn wounds, and hair loss. Our Dutch consortium, Burn Research Lab, Hair Science Clinic, and Ourobionics, is collaborating to optimize hair graft storage conditions, determine conditions for hair regeneration from stem cells, incorporate stem cells into skin constructs, and utilize advanced 3D biofabrication for precision placement for wound healing and burn victims. This project has the potential to significantly impact patients' quality of life, reduce healthcare costs, and advance scientific understanding of hair regeneration. We're excited to contribute to the LSH sector and drive innovation in tissue engineering.
