𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙛𝙡𝙤𝙤𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 Did you know that our FloodPumps can also be used to 𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙣𝙩 flooding? Last year the Fire Department of Kempten, Germany used their Hytrans HiFlow FloodPumps to prevent a dike breach, which would otherwise have caused enormous damage to the adjacent village. In addition, the FloodPumps pumped away a total of 75 million litres of water at a chemical factory in Kempten in just over 24 hours. As emergency situations like wildfires, industrial fires or nuclear emergencies can happen any time of the day and often take a long time to get under control, our machines are often also deployed at night. In doing so, the submersible pumps can be in open water to provide the fire brigade and emergency services with sufficient water. In these situations good visibility of the submersible pumps is of importance. We recommend using our HFS Signal Light. A high-brightness LED lamp with a peak light output of 100cd. As Hytrans we are happy to contribute to further strengthen the safety and the capacity of the firefighters in the Somme area. How? The SDIS 80 has acquired new high-power mobile pumping Hytrans units that will enable firefighters to respond more effectively to flooding. The two flood pumps have a capacity of extracting up to 35.000 liters per minute per unit. This can be compared to 17 (!) standard pumps. The new unit is not only effective for flood control but can also be used during large-scale fires. With an impressive flow rate of 8.000 liters per minute at 10 bars, it is an equivalent of the work of four fire trucks!
