Great discussions at Erasmus University Rotterdam – March 19. 2025. It was a pleasure to meet with Prof. Annelien Bredenoord, Chairwomen of EUR, to discuss opportunities for stronger academic cooperation between Hungary and the Netherlands. We were delighted to hear about the many Hungarian students choosing EUR for their studies and appreciated the chance to hear directly from a Hungarian student about her experiences. We also had an open and constructive dialogue about key issues, including the challenges faced by Hungarian students and researchers due to their exclusion from Erasmus+ and Horizon Europe. Strengthening international collaboration in education and research remains a priority for us. We look forward to deepening partnerships between Erasmus University Rotterdam and Hungarian institutions, fostering joint research projects in biomedical technologies, AI, sustainability, and social sciences, and exploring potential joint events in the future. Inspiring Visit to FrieslandCampina HQ - February 6. 2025. Ambassador Dániel Horogszegi Szilágyi-Landeck and Trade Attaché Edit Pápai had the pleasure of visiting FrieslandCampina Headquarters, where they explored the company’s commitment to tradition, innovation, and sustainability. They were glad to hear about FrieslandCampina’s expansion plans, its growing product portfolio - especially healthier options - and its dedication to local brands like Pöttyös Túró Rudi. Ambassadorial Visit to the Joint Research Center (JRC) in Petten – December 4th 2024 It was a privilege to visit the JRC in Petten, which leads research on sustainable energy and advanced technologies, providing science-based support for European policies. Megtiszteltetés volt ellátogatni a petteni JRC-be, amely élen jár a fenntartható energiamegoldások és csúcstechnológiák kutatásában, miközben tudományos támogatást nyújt az európai szakpolitikák kialakításához. A kutatóközpont igazgatójával és szakértőivel folytatott megbeszélések rávilágítottak a nemzetközi együttműködés fontosságára a globális kihívások kezelésében. Magyarország elkötelezett a kutatási és innovációs partnerségek erősítése mellett. Köszönet a házigazdáinknak a tartalmas eszmecseréért.

On 19 November 2024 Hungary's Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó visited The Hague where he had talks with his Dutch counterparts, Foreign Minister Caspar Veldkamp and Minister of Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation Reinette Klever on improving bilateral relations and current foreign and trade policy issues. Minister Szijjártó also met with Geert Wilders, President of the Dutch Freedom Party and he was interviewed by RTL News. Szijjártó Péter, Magyarország külgazdasági és külügyminisztere 2024. november 19-én Hágában tárgyalt holland partnereivel, Caspar Veldkamp külügyminiszterrel és Reinette Klever külkereskedelmi és fejlesztési együttműködési miniszterrel a javuló kétoldalú kapcsolatokról és aktuális kül- és kereskedelempolitikai kérdésekről. Szijjártó Péter Geert Wildersszel, a holland Szabadságpárt elnökével is találkozott, és interjút adott a holland RTL televízió hírműsorának.

On November 14, 2024 Marjolein Faber | Minister van Asiel en Migratie joined EU Ambassadors under the Hungarian Presidency, with the participation of Dániel Horogszegi Szilágyi-Landeck, Ambassador of Hungary. Discussions focused on improving migration policies, enhancing EU border management, and fostering collaboration across Europe. Marjolein Faber holland menekültügyi és migrációs miniszter 2024. november 14-én csatlakozott a magyar EU-elnökség alatt megrendezett EU-s nagykövetek üléséhez, melyet Horogszegi Szilágyi-Landeck Dániel, Magyarország nagykövete vezetett. On the occasion of the Day of the Hungarian Language, on November 11, 2024 Ambassador Dániel Horogszegi Szilágyi-Landeck donated children's books to the library of the European School The Hague Primary, that were offered by the library of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. The ceremony was attended by Hungarian pupils from the school's primary school, as well as the parents of the pupils and the school's director and staff. The children were delighted to browse through the new Hungarian-language books and children's literature by Hungarian authors, translated into English, which now enrich the Hungarian language section of the school’s library. Ambassador Dániel Szilágyi-Landeck Horogszegi also presented each child with a gift pack in the form of playful booklets about Hungarian holidays, Hungarian castles and Hungarian folk tales. 2024.november 11-én Horogszegi Szilágyi-Landeck Dániel nagykövet gyermekkönyveket adományozott a Hágai Európai Iskola (European School The Hague) könyvtárának a Külgazdasági és Külügyminisztérium könyvtára felajánlásának köszönhetően, a magyar nyelv napja alkalmából. Az ünnepélyes átadón részt vettek az iskola alsótagozatának magyar diákjai, illetve a diákok szülei és az iskola igazgatója, munkatársai. A gyerekek örömmel lapozgatták az új magyar nyelvű könyveket, illetve a magyar szerzők tollából származó angol nyelvre fordított gyermekirodalmat, amely immár az iskola könyvtárának magyar nyelvű részlegét gazdagítja. Horogszegi Szilágyi-Landeck Dániel nagykövet minden gyermeknek ajándékcsomagot is átnyújtott a magyar ünnepekről, a magyarországi várakról, és magyar népmesékről szóló játékos füzetek formájában.
