Great discussions at Erasmus University Rotterdam – March 19. 2025. It was a pleasure to meet with Prof. Annelien Bredenoord, Chairwomen of EUR, to discuss opportunities for stronger academic cooperation between Hungary and the Netherlands. We were delighted to hear about the many Hungarian students choosing EUR for their studies and appreciated the chance to hear directly from a Hungarian student about her experiences. We also had an open and constructive dialogue about key issues, including the challenges faced by Hungarian students and researchers due to their exclusion from Erasmus+ and Horizon Europe. Strengthening international collaboration in education and research remains a priority for us. We look forward to deepening partnerships between Erasmus University Rotterdam and Hungarian institutions, fostering joint research projects in biomedical technologies, AI, sustainability, and social sciences, and exploring potential joint events in the future.
