𝗗𝗲 𝗔𝗲𝗿𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗛𝘂𝗯 𝘇𝗲𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝗮𝗿 𝘃𝗼𝗹𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗽 𝗶𝗻 𝗗𝗲𝗹𝗳𝘁. Na een succesvolle periode van community building (2019–2025) — waarin start-ups, scale-ups, corporates en studententeams binnen de luchtvaartsector zich vestigden in het TU Delft-gebouw aan de Kluyverweg 1 — breidt de Aerospace Innovation Hub haar activiteiten verder uit. Wij zijn verheugd te kunnen melden dat de Hub een nieuwe locatie betrekt: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝟬𝟭 aan de Rotterdamseweg 266A, aan de oostzijde van de Delftse Schie. Op deze locatie zijn reeds de opleiding van Aeronautical & Precision Engineering @ Inholland Delft, evenals bedrijven als Tree Composites, ICEE.Space, Team Tumbleweed en Eve Reverse actief. Er is ruimte beschikbaar voor aanvullende aerospace- en composietenbedrijven, met bijzondere aandacht voor start-ups die behoefte hebben aan faciliteiten voor prototyping, testen en productie. Dankzij de toekenning van een campus-subsidie door de Provincie Zuid-Holland, en in nauwe samenwerking met Magis Real Estate, Hogeschool Inholland en TU Delft, kunnen wij The Terminal 01 verder ontwikkelen tot een inspirerende omgeving waar hbo, universiteit en bedrijfsleven samenkomen in het hart van het innovatiedistrict Delft. Wij kijken uit naar de verdere groei van deze unieke samenwerking. We’re proud to announce a new partnership between Emergent Swarm Solutions and General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, the world’s leading builder of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS). Together, we will develop autonomous flight and intelligent swarming skills for GA-ASI’s current and future portfolio of UAS. This aligns closely with Emergent’s vision of deploying platform-independent autonomy — flying everything from small quadcopters to large fixed-wing UAS.   This collaboration was sparked at the Blue Magic Netherlands event in November, where Emergent showcased its vision for fully autonomous and decentralized drone swarms.   A huge thank you to our dedicated team for their tireless work in developing the robust software that powers our swarming technology and enables partnerships like this.   We’re also excited to be selected alongside fellow Aerospace Innovation Hub @TU Delft member Saluqi Motors — a strong testament to how innovation ecosystems foster collaboration, accelerate progress, and bring bold ideas to life. MAVLAB didn’t just win—they redefined the game at the A2RL x DCL Autonomous Drone Championship. From dominating the AI Grand Challenge and the Autonomous Drag Race, to outsmarting human instincts in the AI vs Human Race, their system thrived under pressure, blurring the line between man and machine. Meanwhile, TII Racing delivered a masterclass in control and precision, claiming victory in the Multi Autonomous Drone Race, where milliseconds made all the difference. In the past weeks our research aircraft ✈️PH-LAB took to the skies powered by fuel containing 38% Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). A Team of researchers including Georgios A. Kelesidis, Vincent Meijer, Amy Morin and pilot-researcher Hans Mulder took the opportunity of the annual Flight Dynamics classes for third bachelor students to take measurements to understand the impact of flying on SAF on emissions and local air quality. With equipment on the runway at Rotterdam The Hague Airport they measured how many particulate and gaseous emissions were released during engine idling. Measurement equipment on the aircraft, sensors on a climate measurement tower in Cabauw and satellite images were used to map the effect of flying on SAF on the formation of and evolution of condensation trails. 👉 Stay tuned for research results. The SAF was supplied by Shell and bought from Jet Aviation. The visit of Dennis de Munck and Michele Spinolo to the Aerospace Innovation Hub @TU Delft, TU Delft | Aerospace Engineering, SAM XL, TU Delft | Dream Hall with Eco-Runner Team Delft and TU Delft Hydro Motion Team, and Formula Student Team Delft was a great success! Did you know there is a lot of overlap in the challenges between Formula 1 and Aerospace Engineering? With a full lecture hall A (sold out) for a lunch lecture organized by VSV 'Leonardo da Vinci', several very interesting exchanges on dedicated research questions, meeting some of the startups....
