Our North America Team have facilitated an open access agreement between Biochemical Society and Vanderbilt's Jean and Alexander Heard Libraries We are proud that this agreement supports the open sharing of research and knowledge from across the molecular biosciences. Charles R. Sanders, vice dean of the Vanderbilt School of Medicine Basic Sciences, Aileen M. Lange and Annie Mary Lyle Chair in Cardiovascular Research, and professor of biochemistry, said:  “Open access publishing agreements such as this are hugely helpful to our faculty and their research programs. Below figure shows the types of OA deals preferred by institutions in different regions. In Europe, Transformative Agreements (49%) and Membership Models (57%) are the most popular models. Asia follows a similar trend, with Transformative Agreements (32%) and Membership Models (29%) being the primary types of deals.     Latin America’s numbers for transformative agreements are notably small yet there’s a clear, if limited, leaning toward S2O/D20 (Subscribe to Open/Deposit to Open) models.
