FEM TELEMATCH GAMES 2025 On 15 February 2025, our S&R team organized the FEM Telematch Games 2025, which was held at the Politeknik Tuanku Sultanah Bahiyyah Kulim, Kedah. About 150 participants took part in this event. The event not only served as a platform to strengthen relationships, reinforcing our commitment to fostering a supportive and engaging workplace, but also as a challenge to test our physical fitness and physical endurance. The Telematch activities comprised of 5 games, including a gunny sack run, canvas train, the longest line, mat pull, and the penultimate game, the ‘tug of war’. Employees were randomly picked and grouped into 8 teams represented by color, anime, and cartoon characters. The objective is to allow and encourage them to mingle and to get to know colleagues from other departments. This symbolizes Fujians united towards a common goal even though they are from different work areas. Everybody has fun together with our management team, who join the event and contribute their best efforts to win the games. COP CHINESE NEW YEAR 2025 On 8 February 2025, in conjunction with the Chinese New Year, our FEM Community Outreach Program (COP) team, in collaboration with the Kulim Assembly Service Centre, organized a Chinese New Year celebration with Chinese villagers at Kampung Baharu Cina, Karangan, Kulim, Kedah. Our Executive Director, Mr. Chong Nee Hwa, and Human Resource General Manager, Puan Rosiah Binti Murat helped to deliver donations to a representative from Guan Yin Temple and angpao to the 25 senior citizens and 40 children from Kampung Baharu Cina and Pertubuhan Bakti Yong Ai. Our esteemed guests, along with Ustaz Mohammad Iskandar Shah Bin Ibrahim, a representative from Kulim Assembly Service Center, and 19 FEM volunteers, took the opportunity to mingle with the villagers. The kids from Pertubuhan Bakti Yong Ai amazed us with their performances. All of them were so happy enjoying the Chinese New Year dishes, such as Kung Pao Chicken, Sweet and Sour Fillet Fish, Mixed Vegetable Stir Fry, Assam Laksa, Cendol, Cakes, and many more. FEM COMPLIMENTARY FESTIVE MEAL (CHINESE NEW YEAR CELEBRATION 2025) 29th January 2025 marks the start of the Year of the Snake in the Chinese calendar. In celebration of the auspicious Chinese New Year, the Company distributes free festive meals to all employees on 4th and 8th February 2025. The Iconic Hotel prepared the packed meal, which was served at the M1, M2, and SC1 cafeterias during lunch and dinner breaks. This free meal distribution is a tradition at FEM in every major festival to symbolize unity and togetherness in every celebration. FEM STEM EXPLORACE 2025 On 12th January 2025, Fuji Electric (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, in collaboration with the SMK Taman Hi-Tech, organized a FEM STEM Explorace 2025 that participated by 1000 students, 70 teachers, and 40 FEM volunteers. Education for Sustainable Development aims to foster STEM knowledge, and skills, as well as to enhance the literacy of STEM among the students. For this reason, students understand that the knowledge they have gained in the classroom through STEM hand-on experience helps solve daily life problems. At the same time, contribute to the solution of sustainable development goals by discovering new technology and cultivating innovations. The event was divided into 3 different programs: 1) FEM STEM Explorace Competition attended by 15 groups with a total participation of 90 students. 2) STEM Exhibition by FEM volunteers from various departments. 3) Motivational Talk delivered by our COP Chairman, Mr. Mohd Monier Bin Mat Din, and Equipment Engineer, Mr. Muhammad Farouq Bin Nasar, to 90 students. The FEM STEM Explorace was divided into 4 different activities, Water Bottle Rocket Blast Off, Volcano Eruption, Tower Building Challenge, and Car Bottle Racing. The Human Resource General Manager, Puan Rosiah Binti Murat, delivered the prize awards to the winners, comprising four categories, which are consolation prizes, 3rd winner, 2nd winner, and 1st winner. Puan Rosiah with the Plant Manager, Mr. Loo Kian Poh, Kulim Bandar Baharu Education Officer, Mr. Ahmad Azrul Afeze Bin Ahmad Rosdi, and our 40 FEM volunteers also took the opportunity to mingle with the students and teachers during the exhibition and explorace activities. Furthermore, our FEM Volunteers also engaged with all the students by conducting STEM quizzes and games. The students were so fascinated and excited to learn discoveries on STEM subjects to strengthen their cognitive abilities and critical thinking from an early age. FEM COP POST-FLOOD RELIEF MISSION 2024 On 14th December 2024, FEM COP (Community Outreach Program) team in collaboration with local NGOs (Non-Governmental Organizations) and together with YB Dato Wira Ku Abdul Rahman, the member of parliament for Kubang Pasu, organized a CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) program to clean up the area affected by the recent flood at the district of Jitra, Kedah state. Over 51 FEM volunteers participated in this program, focusing on cleaning operations to dispose all the damaged items, which included the removal of ruined electrical appliances, furniture, and general waste from the homes of the flood victims. It was a horrific experience for the victims because they were inundated by floods more than 5 times in 2 months which were caused by heavy rainfall and high tides. FEM Executive Director, Mr. Chong Nee Hwa helped to distribute FEM’s flood relief food packs comprising of rice, flour, canned food, etc to 200 families of Kampung Padang Luar, Kampung Padang Teja, Kampung Lubuk Batu, Kampung Pancur, and Kampung Banai. The initiative was not just to ease the burden of those badly affected by the flood disaster but also deeply aligned with FEM's CSR objectives, which aim to create a positive impact on society by engaging in philanthropic activities, supporting social causes, and giving back to the community. All the families were overjoyed and grateful to receive donations from us. Beyond providing basic needs, the CSR initiative served as a powerful catalyst in bringing the FEM community together, forging stronger employee bonds, and nurturing a deep sense of social responsibility and empathy for the underprivileged.
