✨ A special moment for EUMaster4HPC at the EuroHPC Summit in Kraków ✨ Last week, we had the incredible opportunity to witness something truly special at the EuroHPC Summit in Kraków, Poland. Seeing so many of our students come together—whether as HPC Ambassadors selected by EuroHPC Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC JU), participants in the EuroHPC Summit Student Challenge, panel speakers, or engaged attendees—was nothing short of inspiring. Each year, this event marks the first major gathering of our students in the calendar, and every time, it reaffirms why we do what we do. Watching our students connect, collaborate, and grow within the wider European HPC ecosystem brings the work of the consortium to life in the most meaningful way. 💙 To all our students and alumni who took part—thank you for your passion, dedication, and energy. You are shaping the future of HPC, and we couldn’t be prouder! At #LuxProvide, we're on a mission to inspire the next generation of #HPC talent! Through targeted outreach in high schools, we aim to raise awareness of high-performance computing careers, with a strong focus on promoting gender balance. Our goal is to build a diverse and inclusive #HPC community while empowering and training future talents. 🌟 Recently, we had the pleasure of hosting a DemoLab on #MeluXina with students from across Europe, part of the EUMaster4HPC, during the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC JU) Summit in Krakow. The enthusiasm and engagement were truly inspiring! Our journey continues! On April 3rd, we'll be participating in #EschTechWeek, where we'll present case studies and conduct workshops for high school students from across Luxembourg. 🇱🇺 Our aim is to increase interest and encourage more young people to explore careers in HPC. By providing hands-on experiences and real-world insights, we hope to equip the next generation with the skills and knowledge to succeed. We are committed to shaping a future driven by diversity, innovation, and the advancement of technology. The future of HPC begins with the students of today—let’s build it together! ------------------------------ The Dots Luxembourg | Ministry for Gender Equality and Diversity, Luxembourg | Ministry for Digitalisation - Luxembourg | Ministère de l'Économie - Luxembourg | University of Luxembourg | SuperComputing Luxembourg | Luxinnovation GIE

🏆🎉 Congratulations to the EuroHPC Summit Student Challenge Winning Team! We are incredibly proud of this talented group of students who took on the challenging problem of Graph Colouring, an NP-hard problem fundamental to many optimisation tasks: - Alessandro Ruzza - Tommaso Crippa - Elizabeth Koleva - Dimitar Penkov The challenge required a deep understanding of computer science, parallel programming, and mathematics to develop a parallel branch and bound algorithm capable of solving small and medium-sized instances efficiently. A heartfelt thank you to Janez Povh (University of Ljubljana/Rudolfovo), the organiser of this incredible challenge, Mirko Rahn (Fraunhofer ITWM), who mentored this exceptional team, and Dr. Roman Kužel (Rudolfovo) who co-supervised the challenge. Their guidance and support were key in helping the students successfully navigate this complex task. The team made use of the #VEGA Supercomputer, hosted by COBISS / IZUM - Institute of information science Maribor, Slovenia, to tackle this challenge, showcasing the power of high-performance computing in addressing real-world problems. We also sincerely appreciate all the mentors and evaluators for their invaluable contributions: Arnaud RENARD (Université de Reims Champagne-Ardenne/ROMEO - Ressources et Services en calcul intensif), Dr. Di Wang (KAYTUS), Marisa Gil (Barcelona Supercomputing Center/Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya), and Ondřej Meca (IT4Innovations National Supercomputing Center/VSB - Technical University of Ostrava). Finally, a special thank you to EuroHPC Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC JU) and Anders Dam Jensen for giving these students the opportunity to be highlighted during such an important event for the HPC community. Showcasing their achievements at the EuroHPC Summit reinforces the importance of fostering young talent in high-performance computing. We look forward to seeing how this experience empowers these students to become the next leaders in the field of #HPC! 👏💡 #Supercomputing #EuroHPCSummit
