Cooksongold, a jewelry manufacturer and supplier, needed a way to capture every fine engraving and curved surface that hand-modeling kept missing. Adopting Artec Micro has proven a game-changer for the firm, allowing it to carefully digitize jewelry items, in their entirety, in just 1–2 hours — half the time it would take to design them from scratch. Bringing the scanner in-house through UK-based Artec Ambassador Central Scanning made precision 3D capture part of their daily workflow. Now, engineers run Autopilot in Artec Studio to stitch multi-angle scans into seamless meshes and export ready-to-use STL files into CAD software. “CAD modeling a handmade ring with a lot of detailing would take 3-4 hours. Even then it wouldn’t be exactly the same. Now we can digitally make amendments much faster.” Read the full case study to learn how Artec Micro and Artec Studio are reshaping on-demand jewelry digitization: https://ow.ly/7ugK50VH4iK

Over the last decade, character models and environments in CGI and video games have come on leaps and bounds with the adoption of technology like photogrammetry. Now, that same technology is evolving. With Artec Studio’s AI Photogrammetry, pros automate the transformation of photos/video into detailed 3D models. Upload drone footage, smartphone snaps, or DSLR captures and AI handles reconstruction and meshing. But photogrammetry is just half the story. Pair it with 3D scanners and the workflow shifts into overdrive. Top studios merge both: photogrammetry for vast environments, scanners for submillimeter precision. The result? Assets so lifelike, they erase the line between captured and crafted. It’s an exciting time for photogrammetry and 3D scanning in CGI and gaming. The tools are here, the workflows are faster, and the innovations are just beginning, read and learn here: https://ow.ly/tzGg50VAe6q

Artec Leo does the heavy lifting, capturing refinery piping’s complex geometries with precision, even as facilities stay operational. For the Colt Group, repairing leaks without shutdowns hinges on speed and precision. Partnering with Artec Ambassador Digitize Designs, they’ve replaced manual sketches with Artec Leo’s wireless, AI-powered scanning, digitizing complex geometries up to 18 times faster to craft custom repair clamps. “We keep them from having to shut down their process. The quicker we can do each step, the more valuable we are to the customer,” says Colt’s team. Engineers tackle “impossible” on-site geometries and then scans flow into Artec Studio and industry-standard CAD software, turning data into clamps that fit perfectly, minimizing environmental risks, product loss, and costly downtime. No IT overhauls. No retraining. Already handling more projects with the same team, Leo is anticipated to deliver cost savings that pay for themselves in the years ahead.
