With the EU authorisation of lecanemab for the treatment of early-stage Alzheimer’s disease, the challenge lies on its effective implementation. The Innovative Health Initiative (IHI) funded IHI-PROMINENT project is supporting healthcare systems with precision diagnostic tools, AI-powered decision support and real-world validation. PROMINENT brings together academic, clinical, industry and patient partners to support the introduction of disease-modifying therapies like lecanemab https://lnkd.in/eCf-jUxz

With disease-modifying treatments like lecanemab becoming available in Europe, health systems need reliable and accessible tools to diagnose Alzheimer’s disease early and safely. The FluiDx-AD project, launched in November 2024, is developing saliva- and blood-based tests to support early detection, confirmatory diagnosis and ARIA monitoring.
