    Interbattery 2025 Highlight ❶ : LG Chem Unveiled Next-Generation Cathode Materials Technology   LG Chem, the global leader in high-nickel cathode materials, showcased next-generation cathode material technologies at #Interbattery2025 last month. A differentiated cathode material LAP and a new precursor process were presented at the event, setting the stage for the future of the battery industry. Here are the key innovations of these groundbreaking technologies.   (1) LAP: LG Advanced Phosphate • A new solution by blending LG Chem’s superior NCMA and proprietary LMFP • Significantly enhanced energy density compared to conventional LFP, along with improved low-temperature performance • Customized to meet customers’ requirements through blending ratios   (2) A new precursor process; LG's Precursor Free (LPF) • Innovation in the conventional precursor process using LG Chem’s proprietary raw materials, with mass production commencing in 2025 • Not only saves investment costs, but also minimizes environmental burden by reducing wastewater and carbon footprint • Applicable to a range of NCM cathode material products, from high-nickel to high-voltage mid-nickel, improving the performance of single-crystal cathode materials   LG Chem leads the future of the battery industry with sustainable innovation and technologies.     ♻️ Can waste plastics be transformed into brand-new plastics? LG Chem’s eco-friendly materials brand, #LETZero, has the answer.   PCR PVC (Post-Consumer Recycled PVC) is an eco-friendly material that reduces carbon emissions by recycling plastic waste discarded after consumer use. It is widely used in flooring, window frames, and artificial leather applications.   LG Chem is working with LX Hausys to jointly develop a recycling technology that extracts high-purity PVC from discarded construction materials and is driving the commercialization of #PCRPVC products. Today, we introduce Kim Kyung-moon and Lee Young-jun, the key players in constructing Asia’s first supercritical pyrolysis oil plant. LG Chem has completed the construction of their supercritical pyrolysis oil plant, which is now in its commissioning phase.
