Meet Chem-pions driving a more sustainable future with chemical recycling! Today, we introduce Kim Kyung-moon and Lee Young-jun, the key players in constructing Asia’s first supercritical pyrolysis oil plant. LG Chem has completed the construction of their supercritical pyrolysis oil plant, which is now in its commissioning phase. Starting with an annual production capacity of 20,000 tons of pyrolysis oil, we are also exploring expansion plans for the future. 🔗 Learn more about supercritical pyrolysis oil on the LG Chem blog: https://lnkd.in/gVTrM75Q #LGChem #WeConnectScience #Chem_pion

4dChemical recycling is emerging as a key technology to complement mechanical recycling in addressing plastic waste and enabling a circular economy. Unlike traditional recycling, which physically processes plastics, chemical recycling breaks down polymers into their molecular building blocks, allowing for the production of new, high-quality plastics and fuels.
