Cyfra21-1, a fragment of cytokeratin 19, is widely recognized as a key tumor marker for non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). But emerging evidence suggests its potential as a biomarker for interstitial lung disease (ILD), helping assess disease progression and prognosis.   Studies show that elevated serum tumor markers, including Cyfra21-1, are linked to the presence and worsening of ILD.
