Job Summary
We're hiring a QA Engineer with proven experience in testing and automation. You'll immediately contribute by expanding UI and API automation coverage for our new web applications, with opportunities to delve into other testing areas such as performance testing. We're looking for someone who can leverage their existing skills to ensure the quality of our growing product range. Join our dynamic, international team at Cogent Labs in Roppongi, where we communicate in English and value results and flexibility.
Responsibilities And Duties
Ensuring customer requirements and performance metrics are met;
Review and help increase API/UI test coverage through automation;
Investigate and report test failures;
Enhance and/or propose new test automation technology to stay ahead in test automation practices within the industry;
Recommending changes to the engineering process to improve testing, reliability, and performance;
Monitoring and analyzing problems highlighted by testing, then assisting the development team in resolving problems;

Responsibilities And Duties

Qualifications And Skills
- Any significant experience of test methodologies and their corresponding tools for API and UI testing (Playwright, Postman, Cypress.io, Selenium, or similar)
- A passion for testing, development, and design
- Able to work independently
- Proactive, great interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Fluent in English
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- Any QA certification (such as ISTBQ, CSTE) or equivalent experience
- Any testing experience in Linux/GCP/AWS or other platforms
- Experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA)
- Fluent in Japanese
