Learning by Languages is a method and curriculum for the creative and innovative education of children from birth to ten years, aiming at valorising each child’s differences, as well as the role of family and local culture. This is achieved by spurring the development of self-awareness, different expressive languages and competencies.
Learning by Languages was founded in Reggio Emilia and combines some of the most advanced educational approaches in the world – the Montessori method, socio-constructivism and the Reggio Emilia Approach – with pedagogical practice, field experience and management processes.
Our mission is to spread quality education practices in Early Childhood.
Our ED-EX programmes have been designed to offer continuously evolving training opportunities for education professionals.
With great joy, we welcomed 18 educators and teachers of children aged 0-12 from the Netherlands, who, after job shadowing at our Haiku and Aguas Claras services in Reggio Emilia, experienced the journey in the park of our Innovation Hub.
Equipped with our Experiential Kit, they explored the places that define it: the Den Tree, the Wind gallery, the Observatory, and the Soundscape area, taking advantage of the blooming season and the sunshine. They concluded with an activity involving i-vulcani in our Open Atelier. It was a truly enriching experience for all of us.

Navegar é preciso.
E formar professores também.
No Brasil, a formação docente enfrenta mares revoltos.
E, no ápice do percurso, a teoria virou chão.
Toda a equipe embarcou para 𝑅𝑒𝑔𝑔𝑖𝑜 𝐸𝑚𝑖𝑙𝑖𝑎, vivendo in loco tudo o que havíamos estudado nas formações mensais do Learning by Languages e da #ParlendaEscola sob direção das minhas mestras Sônia Sillas e #IvaDedecek.

What does it mean for a school to choose the Learning by Languages method?
🔸 It means, among other things, committing to a process of reinterpreting, redefining, and enhancing its educational role, the spaces, the concept of the child on which daily work is based, and the idea of care and beauty in the environment.
🔹 It means being supported by our specialists, pedagogists, and atelierists in a multi-year journey of growth and enrichment. It’s a big commitment that allows us to stand alongside many organizations that believe in quality education, like the New Green School in Adro (Northern Italy), managed by the cooperative Il Cerchio della Vita, with which we have been collaborating for several years.
Sharing the achievements of this journey together is a source of pride for us, motivating us to keep working even harder.

To support and accompany the experience in our Learning by Languages Innovation Hub UX, we have imagined and designed a kit full of opportunities to engage more deeply with the environment, observe and experience nature, capture thoughts, and share ideas.
It is a way to extend the experience and stay connected with the Learning by Languages community.

The Learning by Languages Innovation Hub is expanding with new initiatives!
In the Cooperation Park, adjacent to our offices in Reggio Emilia, Italy, we have inaugurated a trail inspired by the "listening to places" project developed in collaboration with designer Francesco Bombardi.
Signs placed at various points throughout the park invite visitors to experience it in a new way: simply scan the QR code on each sign to be guided by a narrating voice, immersing yourself in nature and discovering new perspectives and viewpoints.
This is a simple invitation to participate, addressed to families, children, and all the residents of the neighbourhood. This is also our vision of an innovation hub – a place increasingly enriched with opportunities for dialogue with the local community.
Come and discover it!

The graphic-pictorial language is the theme we are exploring through a series of training sessions in the Tresinaro Secchia Union district and the municipality of Carpi in Modena, in Northern Italy.
One educational center, 17 early childhood nurseries, 5 pedagogists, and over 100 teachers, accompanied by our pedagogical experts and atelieristas, are exploring the possibilities of graphic-pictorial language as an everyday opportunity.
This is one of the possible in-depth approaches we are pleased to share with fellow professionals in our area, contributing to foster, from early childhood, a culture of the atelier as a way to expand the expressive and cognitive potential of all children.
