BUON COMPLEANNO HILTON ROME AIRPORT! 25 anni per l’unico hotel collegato direttamente all’aeroporto di Roma Fiumicino “Leonardo da Vinci”. Era il 13 novembre 1999 quando il primo ospite, in arrivo dall’Australia, varcava la soglia del nuovo Hilton Rome Airport, il primo albergo aeroportuale in Italia e ancor oggi l’unico albergo collegato direttamente all’aeroporto internazionale di Roma Fiumicino “Leonardo da Vinci”. 25 anni di attività con un susseguirsi di ospiti da ogni parte del globo, un vero specchio del mondo dei viaggi con tutte le sue complessità e con le relative evoluzioni nel corso degli anni, gestito sempre con successo e soddisfazione da ICARUS Spa. Per celebrare l’anniversario, il 13 novembre 2024 viene dedicata agli ospiti e allo staff una linea di pasticceria, con biscotti fatti in casa a torta celebrativa con brindisi, riconoscimento allo staff attivo sin dal 1999, oltre alla possibilità di accogliere il primo cliente australiano che, da allora ha la possibilità di soggiornare gratuitamente il 13 novembre di ogni anno. Dall’inconfondibile stile architettonico, con opere di arte moderna come la celebre sfera di Arnaldo Pomodoro al suo ingresso e la statua fontana di Jean Michel Folon “La Pluie” all’esterno, l’Hilton Rome Airport offre 517 camere per gli ospiti, ristorante e bar dai sapori classici, sala fitness e piscina interna, 22 sale per riunioni ed eventi, che nel corso dell’anno sono oltre 900 e possono ospitare fino a 800 persone, ampio parcheggio e collegamento pedonale con l’aeroporto, uno staff dedicato di oltre 200 persone di 9 nazionalità diverse, egualmente suddiviso tra uomini e donne, 26 dei quali festeggiano i 25 anni insieme all’hotel. Comfort funzionale e dotazioni innovative sin dal suo esordio, hanno reso negli anni l’Hilton Rome Airport una tappa imprescindibile per i viaggiatori internazionali e per la città di Roma, mantenendo il passo con i tempi, a partire dall’attenzione alla sostenibilità ambientale, con l’installazione di pannelli fotovoltaici e la riqualificazione di impianti tecnologici per il risparmio energetico, fino alla sostituzione di materiale in plastica con vetro e materiale bio, nonché il riciclaggio dei diversi materiali e gli acquisti a KM0 per il ristorante. We proudly share that the Hilton Global Foundation has recognized a US$ 1,000 donation to our parish “Santa Maria Degli Angeli” located in the airport sediment for the "Lives in Transit" project. In co-operation with CARITAS and ADR (Rome International Airport), the project consists in taking care of homeless people and migrants who transit in the airport area. The project not only takes care of assisting these people to return to their countries of origin, but also offer shelter in the Parish dorm where they can receive a meal, accommodation and then, for those who wish, be accompanied through an integration program to find a job and gain their independence and a place in the community.
