Our senior management did the honors with the ribbon cutting, and everyone enjoyed exploring the new office. "I’ve been with Nova for four and a half years, and during this time, I’ve gone through two big transformations. First, I grew from a fresh Ph.D. graduate into a Senior Engineer in the OCD field. Then, after becoming a mother, I became someone who constantly balances the demands of work and childcare—still learning, still aiming high. I didn’t come from a semiconductor background, but when I joined Nova, I was eager to grow. I taught myself everything I could, diving into models, exploring online resources, and learning from my colleagues and our customers. That drive to understand has shaped who I am today. I'm guided by the belief that I shouldn’t waste what I’ve learned. Even if my contribution is small, I want to dedicate myself to the semiconductor industry in China. "The meetup with Unit 81, AMIT, was one of the most empowering experiences I've had recently at Nova. Reconnecting with the alumni of the technological military unit where I once served as an officer, brought back many memories. What started as a typical work conference quickly transformed into something much more meaningful. The open conversations, the welcoming atmosphere, and the freedom to speak candidly turned it into a truly special gathering. We discussed industry developments and market trends, the shift from academy to the industry and also delved into deeper topics, motherhood, career growth, and the unique challenges young women face when balancing family aspirations with professional ambition. Sharing personal struggles with people you’ve just met isn’t always easy, yet the supportive atmosphere made it feel natural, fostering a sense of mutual understanding and encouragement. As the discussion unfolded, we realized just how impactful and empowering this meeting was for all of us. Coming from a family of Olim, independence was always a key goal for me. I joined the 'Atidim' program, pursued a degree in materials engineering, and later found my place in Unit 81. During my studies, the gender ratio was fairly balanced, but the army was a different story, my peers from that time are all incredible people, yet they’re all men. I’ve been fortunate to work and study in places that valued women, yet at Nova, the presence of a strong, empowering community of women truly stands out. Here, I am part of a diverse environment, where collaboration, consultation, and inclusive leadership thrive. One thing that stood out to me was how naturally this conversation evolved. Thanks to our HR and recruitment team, we had the space to connect, and having leaders like Noa Shinar-Ron actively engaging—not just speaking, but truly being part of the discussion—made all the difference. Her AI lecture wasn’t just insightful; it opened the door to deeper, more meaningful exchanges. Meetings like this remind me that real change happens when we share, support, and uplift one another and I’m proud to be part of that journey."
