🏃🏃♀️🏃♂️ News: One of the Mediterranean's most iconic running events will be TUI-fied: The first #TUICyprusMarathon will be held on March 8th 2026 in beautiful Paphos. 🇨🇾 The sponsorship agreement reflects our ongoing commitment to promoting active and sports tourism as well as supporting its most beloved destinations across the region. On top of being the title sponsor, TUI will be the exclusive distribution and travel partner. The run joins the two iconic events TUI Rhodes Marathon – each April – and the TUI Palma Marathon Mallorca – each October – as part of the TUI Mediterranean Marathon League. Magnus Hüttenberend, Group Director responsible for TUI’s sponsoring activities: "This new deal reinforces the commitment of TUI to our key destinations in the Mediterranean and we’re honoured to bring the TUI Cyprus Marathon into the TUI family. 💧 Celebrating World Water Day with a milestone for sustainability 💧   Last month, we celebrated the World Water Day by proudly launching our brand-new Bottle Filling Station at ROBINSON CABO VERDE. This initiative will save around 300,000 plastic bottles per year, helping to reduce waste in a region where recycling options are still limited. ✅🌊   A special moment for us was when Cape Verde’s Deputy Prime Minister, Dr. Olavo Avelino Garcia Correia, officially started the first test run.   With our seawater desalination system we provide drinking water for guests and staff, decreasing pressure on local freshwater resources. Further, the electricity we need will soon be generated by our own solar panels. ☀   What routines are important to you in your daily life for sustainability? Recently, our colleagues Sofia Teixeira and Ana Barral who became friends, took a trip to the stunning slopes of Andorra! From snowboarding down majestic peaks to cozy evenings in the village, their adventure was the perfect mix of adrenaline and relaxation - a great way to wind down from the fast and fun pace of working in tech. It’s more than just a holiday though - it’s about creating memories with the people you work with. Working in tech at TUI means you get the flexibility to explore the world while building connections that last a lifetime.
