Tirlán reposted this
As intercounty teams prepare for the 2025 Hurling Senior Championship, Tirlán has launched its sponsorship of Kilkenny GAA for the 31st season. The Avonmore name has been synonymous with Kilkenny jerseys since 1994, with the brand’s owner Tirlán Co-operative added in 2024. At 31 years, this makes it one of the longest-running, most iconic and recognised GAA partnerships in the country. John Murphy, Tirlán Chairperson, said: “We’re proud to continue our partnership with the Kilkenny GAA teams. It’s a great association for Tirlàn as a 100% farmer-owned Co-op and Avonmore as Ireland’s leading dairy brand. The association between the Avonmore brand and Kilkenny GAA is deep and enduring. Deep roots in the community and a commitment to excellence are shared by both organisations.” John Murphy wished Derek Lyng, the players and management the best for the season ahead. Kilkenny open their 2025 Leinster championship season on 19 April with a home fixture against Galway. #KilkennyGAA #hereforgood

On St. Patrick's Day, we launched our new advertising campaign for Avonmore Fresh Milk 🥛 'Make Every Day This Good', tells the touching story of a young girl tracking her grandmother’s journey from the far side of the world to an emotional reunion. This narrative beautifully anchors our quality proof point, highlighting the many checks our milk must pass before reaching your kitchen table. Every glass of Avonmore Fresh Milk is a testament to our dedication to quality and tradition. We are proud to share this story and the rigorous standards that ensure our milk is always at its best. Tirlán highlighted the vital importance of retaining Ireland's Nitrates Derogation as we met with the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine Martin Heydon in Agriculture House. We discussed the beneficial impact of the practical actions being undertaken by co-operatives and farm families across the country, amid the improvements shown in the latest water quality report from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Ireland. 2025 is a vital year for Irish farming and our rural economy. Tirlán CEO Seán Molloy said: "We are pleased that the Minister stated that the renewal of the Derogation is a key priority for the Government. The level of activity underway on farms, combined with the latest water quality results provides science-based data for making a strong case in Brussels.” Read more here: https://lnkd.in/ea6MSxZD

Tirlán’s commitment to a culture of diversity and inclusion is unwavering. We know that with diversity comes more rounded decision-making and fresh perspectives, delivering better results for our business and all our people. This year's IWD theme, #AccelerateAction, aligns with our Value of Empower and Go, emphasizing swift and decisive steps towards gender equality. To mark IWD, today we held a discussion on ‘Leading Change’, chaired by executive coach Paula Mullin, with leaders from across our business including Chief Agribusiness Officer Ailish Byrne, Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer Ann Meaney, Head of People Experience Karen O'Brien and Head of Environment Health & Safety Nicola Cooney. It was a frank and open discussion. People highlighted mistakes, learnings, dealing with unconscious bias and navigating imposter syndrome. One of the important takeaways was that change starts with ourselves. We all have the ability to accelerate action as individuals, show leadership to others and to help raise everyone up together. Tirlán has accelerated action through leadership development, enabling a 50:50 male & female ratio at senior leadership level, fully paid maternity and adoptive leave and through our transparent talent acquisition approaches. We know that we still have more to do, and a culture of belonging and inclusion is more important now than ever. #IWD2025 #AccelerateAction

We are thrilled to share that our Avonmore Super Milk Campaign has been shortlisted for the Marketing Institute Awards AIM Awards 2025 in the Brand Campaign Category ⭐ 🥛 Based on FSAI findings that 90% of us don’t get enough Vitamin D from the food we eat, Avonmore Super Milk has developed a campaign to educate consumers regarding the need for Vitamin D at all life-stages. Vitamin D is important in our diet as it helps us absorb more calcium from food and drink which is important for maintaining bone and muscle health and also helps support our immune systems too. As Ireland’s No 1 Dairy Brand, we are so proud to see our brands making a difference in our consumers lives and seeing our marketing campaigns shortlisted in such a prestigious competition. A huge congratulations to our marketing team Eithne OHara, Linda Sheehan and Gráinne Murray and the team at Goosebump Ltd for this impressive campaign 👏

Tomorrow is International Women’s Day, a wonderful opportunity to recognise the achievements of women in every aspect of our organisation. At Tirlán, we believe one day a year is not enough, ensuring an inclusive work environment is our priority year-round. This year's IWD theme, #AccelerateAction, aligns with our Value of Empower and Go, emphasizing swift and decisive steps towards gender equality. Throughout 2024, we have appointed new senior leaders, enabling a 50:50 male & female ratio. This change was welcomed by the organisation and allows us to have female role models in the most senior roles in our business. As a 100% farmer-owned Co-operative, we have also made significant steps to enhance gender diversity and ensure different voices are heard now, and into the future, within our farmer Representative Structure. #IWD2025 #AccelerateAction
