On Monday, March 31st, we proudly hosted the Fexco Female Empowerment Awards at the RDI Hub as part of the STEM Passport for Inclusion Programme. We celebrated the achievements of 38 students from 8 schools across Munster at a special awards ceremony. These talented students collaborated with Fexco mentors to develop their innovative ideas and presented them to a distinguished judging panel, including Paula O'Sullivan (Fexco), and Denis Cleary (Fexco), Liam Cronin (RDI Hub) and Dr. Helena McMahon (Munster Technological University)   A huge congratulations to the winning team from Castleisland Community College and their mentor Sharon H. for their ground-breaking idea, Nav-Bandz - a wearable assistive technology designed for visually impaired individuals, featuring a wristband and earpiece that provides sensor-based navigation guidance.   Neil Hosty, CEO of Fexco, concluded the awards with inspiring words to the 38 students, emphasizing the importance of the STEM Passport for Inclusion Programme and how initiatives like these are vital for fostering innovation and preparing the next generation of leaders in technology.   We extend our heartfelt thanks to the STEM Passport for Inclusion, Maynooth University, and Munster Technological University for partnering with us. A special thanks to the RDI Hub for hosting the event and to all Fexco mentors for their dedication in helping students bring their ideas to life.
