The Kilsaran Road Surfacing and Contracting team recently hosted Laois County Council for a CPD on “Sustainable Pavement Design & Construction” highlighting the innovations in pavement design and asphalt production. Our Technical Manager, Dimitris Michailidis (CEng MIEI), presented on several topics including the use of reclaimed asphalt pavement, warm mix and bio binder in the production process, the latest technologies in pavement surfacing, regulatory requirement updates and carbon emission reduction opportunities in the industry. Following the CPD, our guests were given a tour of the our asphalt plant in Tullamore to demonstrate the latest advancements in asphalt production that Kilsaran have integrated into our facilities. #kilsaran #ideastakingshape #roadsurfacing

In addition to winning the Overall award for Church of Oak Distillery at the Irish Concrete Society awards last Saturday, Kilsaran were highly commended in the Infrastructure Category as a major supplier for the Dublin Port Greenway project 🏆 🥇 The jury stated that The Dublin Port Greenway “deserves mention and is a great public amenity 2 km in length that opens access to Dublin Port. Designed and executed well with concrete seating and set down area installed to enjoy the stunning views along the route (Tolka Estuary), the panel of judges were greatly impressed by “the craftsmanship and the level of finish achieved. Most specifically the boarded concrete finish achieved and its consistency along the length of the greenway.
