🎬🏆 Cahersiveen Youth Film Group Wins National Award for Powerful Documentary ‘Home from Home’ 🏆🎬 We are incredibly proud to celebrate the Cahersiveen Youth Film Group, supported by Kerry LCYP at Kerry ETB, who were honoured with the Radharc Trust Award at this year’s Ireland’s Young Filmmaker of the Year Awards! Their moving documentary ‘Home from Home’, created with filmmaker Clinton Fitzgerald, tells the powerful and personal stories of young Ukrainian filmmakers living in Kerry, exploring themes of identity, resilience, and hope through their own eyes and voices. 👏 Huge congratulations to Dmytro Solohub, Mark Fedan, Varvara Fedorovska, Margarita Savynetska, and Sofiia Laptenko who proudly represented their community on the national stage at the Fresh Film Festival in Dublin. 🎥 Home from Home was developed through a series of creative workshops in Cahersiveen run by Kerry LCYP in partnership with South Kerry Development Partnership CLG. 📣 You can now watch Home from Home on the Kerry LCYP Instagram @kerrylcyp and on the Fresh Film YouTube channel. 🎉 This win is a shining example of what happens when young voices are empowered, heard, and celebrated. 🇪🇺🏅 Castleisland Community College Awarded Prestigious European Ambassador School Plaque 🏅🇪🇺 We’re incredibly proud to share that Castleisland Community College, one of Kerry ETB’s eight post-primary schools, has been awarded the European Parliament Ambassador School plaque in recognition of their outstanding participation in the EU Ambassador School Programme. Presented by Seán Kelly MEP and received on behalf of the school by student Patryk Michno, this honour celebrates the leadership, collaboration, and dedication shown by the entire school community, especially the Transition Year students and co-ordinating teachers Ciaran Doyle and Annette Steinborn.
