Yeehaw, Nashville here we come! 🇺🇸 ✈️ The boarding gate for the inaugural flight to Nashville at Dublin Airport with Aer Lingus was buzzing with cowboy hats, singing competitions, live music with Clodagh Lawlor and plenty of dancing! 🪩

At Dublin Airport, we know that airport operations impact the community around us - and we take that seriously. Our work to minimise that impact is constant and ongoing and today we've launched a new innovative online tool which provides accurate and timely information about flights to and from the airport and how they may impact the local community. The new InsightFull portal combines location-specific data with user-friendly dashboards, making it quick and easy for individuals to undertake detailed analysis of the noise situation at their location, improving understanding and enabling comparison with other locations. The launch of InsightFull comes on the back of the launch last autumn of our Maploom tool, which enables the public to check whether they are eligible for the airport’s extensive insulation and home buy-out schemes. Investing in innovative tools such as InsightFull and Maploom is part of daa’s ongoing investment in noise mitigation measures at Dublin Airport, with over €20 million spent to date including insulation schemes and purchasing eligible local homes. ✈️

The sun shone bright on Monday as we officially opened Phase 1 of our new Dublin Airport Solar Farm, which is now providing up to 13% of the electricity required to power the airport. Located on a site close to the airport's South Runway, phase 1 of the project saw the installation of 15,000 solar panels which are generating up tp 9GWh per annum depending on weather conditions. We were joined at the official opening by Minister Darragh O'Brien TD and guests, who heard that Dublin Airport is now planning Phase 2 of the project which will take solar power generation to around 20%. Dublin Airport worked with Greenvolt Next , one of Ireland’s leading providers of renewable energy solutions, on the solar farm. A feasibility study to identify the best location on the airport campus for Phase 2 will be completed by the end of April.

While airports all around Europe grow, Dublin Airport remains an outlier with passenger numbers down by -3% in March as the passenger cap continues to bite. March was the fourth consecutive month in which Dublin Airport had the same or fewer passengers than the same month last year, which is bad news for the economy and our vitally important tourism sector. While numbers were lower, the team at Dublin Airport once again delivered a smooth experience for the 2.5 million+ passengers that passed through our terminals...
