We were delighted to host the first STEM South West Leaders Dialogue of 2025 in MTU Extended Campus (Kerry North). Thanks to all who attended.   Our special guest speaker was Patricia Quane CDir, Chair of the Expert Group on Future Skills Needs (EGFSN) for the #Biopharma Industry and a member of the South-West Regional Enterprise Plan Steering Committee. Patricia also serves on the board of Taighde Eireann/Research Ireland, the national research and innovation funding agency. A former Vice President and General Manager of Astellas Pharma Ireland Co. Ltd. (2008–2020), Patricia was Chair of BioPharmaChem Ireland in 2019. Following her retirement, Patricia has focused on skills development, talent management, and resource optimization in organizations. A Chartered Director with a strong dedication to regional economic development and sustainability, Patricia was recognized with a Lifetime Achievement Award by Kerry Business Leaders in 2023.   We were delighted to have this year's BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition (BTYSTE) Winners Ciara, Saoirse and Laoise Murphy to tell us all little about their #STEM journey so far and what's next in their sights.   There was an important dialogue about STEM between organisations and key influential stakeholders in the southwest region, which plays an important part in the future success of the region.
