  • Wada FoodTech, a smart catering solutions provider based in #HongKong, has successfully expanded to Tokyo and Osaka with the support of the HKTDC. “It was a long journey with the help of the HKTDC. At the beginning, even during Covid, we could not meet our Japanese clients face to face. But the HKTDC’s director in Osaka helped us to connect with our local Japanese partner and even went to their office to pitch for us. That was the beginning of our Japanese journey,” said Jason Chen, Founder and CEO of Wada FoodTech/Wada Bento. The start-up recently participated in the 2024 edition of #EntrepreneurDay (E-Day), which included the InnoClub Awards. Wada FoodTech received the InnoClub Industry Impact Award for its digitised food service model and signed a memorandum of understanding with Harada Corporation, a Japanese general trading company experienced in food innovations. This partnership assists Wada Bento in strengthening its presence and expanding its vending machine operations in the Japanese market. The #HKTDC has a network of 51 offices globally, including in Tokyo and Osaka. Jason highlighted that these offices provided “strong support.” Watch the video to learn more!
