Last week, Gammon Singapore hosted a meaningful Wellness Day to promote more than 100 colleagues health and well-being in collaboration with Singapore Association of the Visually Handicapped (SAVH). The event features SAVH’s talented individuals, offering much-needed back massages for our busy office workers, and showcasing beautifully handcrafted merchandise such as bookmarks, coasters, greeting cards, and canvas paintings. The massage services and handcrafted items featured at the bazaar were provided by individuals who are blind or have low vision, all of whom gained professional skills through SAVH’s development programmes. A heartfelt thank you to SAVH’s talents for sharing your incredible skills and creativity with us. Prioritising Health and Safety in Gammon! At Gammon, health and safety of our workers are our top priorities. Last week, we held our annual Health Stand Down event, a dedicated training for all of us to learn more about knowledge and tools to take charge of our health, and how to respond to safety emergencies. This year’s event is themed as “Act fast, Save Lives. Stay Aware.” A total of 67 sessions were conducted at our head offices and across Gammon construction sites in Hong Kong and Singapore for nearly 16,000 attendees - from our leadership members to frontline workers. As we advance towards our #ZeroHarm journey, #TeamGammon is committed to fostering a health and safety culture in our company and raising the bar on our health and safety standard for our industry. #Gammon #GammonConstruction

This past week at Gammon Quayside office, we were thrilled to host a special coffee pop-up that not only brought a surge of caffeine but also a wave of inspiration and community spirit to our office! Our colleagues couldn't get enough of the delicious coffee crafted by our guest baristas from Mindbrew. Each cup poured was not just about a caffeine boost but a showcase of passion and dedication. The baristas, who are individuals recovering from mental illness, used this opportunity to hone their coffee-making skills, proving that every challenge is a step towards mastery and growth. The energy in the office was buzzing—not just from the espresso! Many of us visited the pop-up multiple times a day, eager to support and enjoy the carefully crafted beverages. It was a joy to see the genuine dedication of the baristas, who were serious about serving the best possible coffee. Beyond just serving great coffee, this event supported a cause close to #TeamGammon ‘s hearts—raising awareness for mental health, in collaboration with Mindbrew which is founded by MINDSET Hong Kong | The Jardine Matheson Group Charity and Jardine Restaurant Group. It was a powerful reminder of the importance of fostering an inclusive environment where everyone can contribute meaningfully. A huge thank you to everyone involved, especially the baristas who shared their incredible talents and stories with us. Earlier this week, Kevin O’Brien, Chief Executive of Gammon and Chairman of Business Environment Council, delivered an opening remark at the 2025 Hong Kong Climate Forum, addressing the urgency and profound systematic changes required to limit global warming and highlighting the critical role of both public and private sectors. He remarked "We are here today, demonstrating our undeterred commitment and leadership in advancing regional and global collaboration in the fight against climate change. We are united as we know this is not a fight for a select few. A “Disco Night” at Gammon Spring Dinner! Disco culture, a symbol of breaking norms and fostering inclusion, reflects the diversity that Gammon celebrates. This year, we embraced the "Gammon Disco Night" theme for our Spring Dinner, turning tradition into an electrifying celebration of our achievements alongside more than 3,000 colleagues and VIP guests in the industry. The annual event provided an invaluable platform for our colleagues across the region to gather and celebrate what we achieved in the past year together. The joyous night was filled with fun games, energetic performances and incredible company from our colleagues and partners. We are delighted to have received the Inclusion & Diversity Award - Corporate Sector at the I&D Appreciation Awards 2025, presented by Dialogue in the Dark (HK) Foundation. This award recognises organisations in Hong Kong that have made significant contributions to social inclusion. “This award acknowledges our team’s ongoing commitment, driven by both our leadership and colleagues, to building a diverse and inclusive workplace where all our talents can thrive and belong,” said Ian Choy, Chief of People & Culture. Since the launch of our DEI Council in 2020, Gammon has continually reviewed and improved our policies, making progress towards our ambitious diversity targets. For instance, over 4,000 colleagues have completed our DEI and Unconscious Bias training since its inception four years ago, and we have introduced more inclusive approaches to our recruitment and onboarding processes. In addition to our Women in Gammon and Young Professional Group, we launched our Multicultural Affinity Group, an employee-led network, in 2023 to raise awareness of cultural diversity and foster a greater sense of community among our diverse workforce. Today, we celebrate the pivotal role of engineering in achieving and advancing sustainable development goals (SDGs) by fostering collaboration, innovation, and capacity building among global stakeholders!
