Wai Yue Loh 劳玮裕, the joint managing director at Incisive, said that the addition of Alexander coincided with the rising demand for cross-border corporate law services, which was driving the firm’s growth. Tina LeDinh of A&O Shearman’s Vietnam offices, was the lead partner advising VinAI and its shareholders on the sale of its research and generative AI business to Qualcomm. A&O Shearman's Jesse Debban led on US M&A matters, while Daren Orzechowski and Saranpaal Calais handled IP and tech matters. LeDinh led the cross-jurisdictional deal team, which included Tam Tran and Thao Tran, assisting VinAI on obtaining regulatory approvals to demerge its generative AI business into the new entity. Baker McKenzie told Asia Business Law Journal that the firm acted as Qualcomm’s local Vietnamese legal adviser in relation to its acquisition of MovianAI. Hiring Paramita to ATD Mori Hamada represented a strategic move to expand its capabilities in dispute resolution, as well as to strengthen its antitrust practice area, managing partner Abi Abadi Tisnadisastra said. Paramita began her legal career at Assegaf Hamzah & Partners in 2011.
